Always very seldom used there. I was there last weekend and didn't see any other naturists all day.

Weekends are getting busier there because of the open secret about the gathering of the seals on that stretch of the beach.  This has led to an influx of textiles to come and view them.

Midweek is definitely better when numbers are down, but some of us work during the week so that limits time.

Ted, you will find that after the schools break up, it will get busier on that beach, but with even fewer naturists in evidence!

I saw quite a few seals there myself. I was paddling in the shallows and they came in really close to me (maybe 10ft away) and looked with what appears to be as much curiosity about us as we have about them!

The influx of textiles when the schools break up is rather less welcome, but I suppose inevitable.

I had a day here a couple of months ago. Very nice place and actually fairly easy to find, not a massive walk form car park etc.

I dont think i was as brave as you or maybe id gottem the area slightly wrong as i remained in the dunes, more like golf bunkers in places, great sun traps.

anyway after an hour or so of sunbathing i decided to get up and go towards the sea, no sooner had i done so than i spotted a woman walking her dog about 40meters away. I was still covered to the shoulders by the dune at this point so just lay back down but that spooked me.

Whats the situation on this beach regarding 'beach and sea' rather than just use of the dunes, is it down to if the person in question gets offended by seeing me/

any enllightenment gratefully recieved 🙂

What happens if someone complains is the great unknown. It is not an official beach, but is well known locally. The dog-walkers are all locals and know full well what they might see there. You do get the occasional family group walking down the beach from Horsey Gap, but they rarely walk that far down. I suspect most people would not complain to anyone "official" even if they were surprised/offended, but it might only take one to do so...

I did make sure that the area either side of me was clear of textiles before going in for a dip, and there was already an elderly man sunbathing on the beach up against the dunes. He was not hidden and he did not move regardless of who walked past. I saw another older naked man walking fast up the beach right past were I was and then passed several textiles, and he made no attempt to cover up. No-one seemed to react.

One lone textile arrived whilst I was in the sea and sat on a nearby rock, so I had to walk past him to get back to the dunes, but he seemed to take no notice.

I sometimes think these people who hover nearby may be thinking of trying it themselves, but don't pluck up enough courage. either that or they are voyeurs, so won't complain anyway.

In the past I have walked the centre of the beach nude as I have not seen anyone about.

A couple of times, on passing the groynes, I have found people making use of the sheltered side of them and not noticed anyone until I was past.  No-one has made any comment!
