Hi all. Just booked a week in a cottage in Cornwall for late Augustย  ๐Ÿ˜€ I know i only live in Taunton and it's only 100 miles from here but (a) we have a 3 year old and (b) going to Cornwall is like a foreign country anyway!ย  ๐Ÿ˜› ;D ๐Ÿ˜‰

The cottage is just outside of Portreath so our nearest naturist beach is Fishing Cove near Hayle.

I was wondering if anyone on the forum has had any experiences of the beach, access, onlookers, how busy in summer etc.. I want to take my wife and daughter to somewhere nice and safe and this looks perfect. Only got the nuff report to go on so far though as searches haven't turned up anything else...

Sorry for the shameless 'bump' of this thread. I'm off on holiday in a couple of weeks and still haven't really found any reviews of this beach in Cornwall. I'm really keen to go and maybe even talk my family into going there too. Any experiences of this beach?  :-/

Hi - on your recommendation I joined this site!
Fishing Cove is accessed from a steep slippery path so immense care is needed - it only gets sun in the morning but once you are there, is an idyllic setting and you may even see some seals! Last autumn the lower section of the path had completely eroded and I'm not sure what repairs have been made this year ..... any other questions, please ask!

Well following our chat Tony and a discussion with my wife I think we'll give the beach a miss because of the access problem  :'( A shame since the beach is so close to where we're staying so I'm off to study the beach map again to find a better beach in Cornwall for a family with a little 'un  ๐Ÿ™‚ It won't stop me going on my own to have a look if i get a chance to do a spot of solo exploring. The cottage has a hot tub so I can poosibly leave wife in there for an hour or two  ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜‰

I haven't been myself (yet) but I have heard that some people unofficially use Loe Bar - Gunwalloe Cove near Porthleven. It's not too far from Porthreath and access is easy along the beach from Porthleven. We're off to Cornwall in early September any any feedback you can give is will be gratefully receivedย  ย ๐Ÿ™‚

Be interested to know if you made it to Loe Bar near Porthleven  - I have been there but wasn't sure it was used by naturists.

Yes, we did visit Loe Bar whilst walking from Porthleven to Kynance Cove. We were a little unlucky with the weather during our Cornwall trip - only 1 day in 2 weeks was completely dry and we headed for Pedn Vounder on that day.

There were a few people on Loe Bar beach but it was too cold for just being on the beach - everyone we saw was walking through.
