Candy Farm Camp Site
Candy Farm Camp Site is situated between Doncaster and Scunthorpe in South Yorkshire, on the border with the East Riding of Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
The camping area is a small, level, screened, well drained site, which makes it suitable for disabled people.
With 2 hard standing pitches, 4 electric hook-ups, a drinking water tap, chemical disposal point, a primitive toilet and in warm weather a small above ground pool and a shower.
Candy Farm welcomes both caravans and tents and has space for 5 caravans and several tents on the campsite.

I can't comment on the Wroot pubs, but the Red Lion in Epworth a few miles to the North East can be recommended (especially for Sunday lunch).Â

Have you a postcode for this site so I can find it on my digital maps? Would a single male with a small tent be welcome?
We went here a couple of weekends ago and it was very basic but thats part of its charm, just a nice place to go and relax.
As well as the pool they also have a small sauna and a pool table.

If you're a couple in the Midlands and are under 50...say hi.

Postcode is
DN9 3DZ
There are directions on their website.
From your area, I'd say M5, M42, M1, M18 to junction 3
direction Doncaster.
At second roundabout keep straight on (main road goes left),
follow roads around lake, eventually reaching main road near racecourse. Turn right on to Bawtry Road A638.
After about 600 yards turn left at traffic lights following signs to Finningley.
Keep on this road past airport entrance, Cross over the roundabout with the A614 and take the next left 600 yards later Wroot Road. Follow this road for about two miles turning off road at right hand corner. The farm is over the bridge and to the left. There is a small sign marked Candy Farm.

Thanks. I would arrive by train and pedal cycle hence the need to locate it on the map ;D I will almost certainly spend a night there this summer assuming they're OK with a single male. Is it your place?
No, it's not my place Edward,
You could take a train to Finningley, take the A614 Station Road to the roundabout, turn right, then left along Wroot Road.
There are many long straight flat(tish) roads in that area.
