Depends what time of year whether you need to book. There are a limited number of hook ups so you would need to book if you wanted to use them.
Nice place and unusual as there are textiles camping on the adjacent field

Book in high season leave it quite late when calling it's easier to get hold of the owner after farming duties.

Don't think there are any hook ups in the lower naturist field.

We are thinking of going in the next 2-3 weeks time.
It would be handy to know if there are elec. hookups in the naturist bit and is there a pub within staggering distance? If so, is it any good?

There are a few hook ups but you have to book them. There is a pub which is good for food and does have a garden out back with decent views. Just straight down the road into strete and turn right about 50 yds on the left. I relied on the vans battery and just rmovrd it and plugged battery and recharger into a power point in the toilet block to recharge the battery. They have a decent communual room for when its wet and used to open up a small bar when they were very busy. But you would have to be dressed to get to the toilets or facilities.

Just spent a few days camping at Manor farm in what was frankly abysmal weather, heavy rain and winds, but still very warm so I was still able to enjoy a little of the outdoor life. For anyone who hasn't been I thought it may be useful to know a little about the site which is situated in a very pretty part of Devon, very close to Slapton Sands naturist beach and with amazing views out to sea, (although obviously not during Summertime in England!)

Having experienced bad weather, in a tent, I can honestly say I had no trouble with water getting in as the site is very well drained being on a slight slope. The 'top' field is textile and very large, and at the top end of this is the building housing most of the facilities. These include showers and toilets, (unisex), a fully equipped kitchen/washing up area and a laundry. In addition there is a TV/reading room and a games room. The bottom third of the field is naturist, along with a very small, high-hedged area called 'The Cabbage Patch'. There are a handful of electric hook-ups on the naturist field along with several water taps and the camping charge was £8.00 per night which I think is very reasonable. There seem to be a few seasonal pitches on the naturist side but still plenty of room for tourers and tents. I imagine it is necessary to book during the high season, but Kate, the owner, is very friendly and usually drives around the site later in the day to collect pitch fees. The one drawback for naturists is that the majority of facilities are located on the textile side and you have to dress to access them, although having been I really can't see why, the naturist/textile divide is a low, open fence and people from both camps chatted and passed the time of day over this.

There were no families on the naturist part while I was there, although a number on the textile side and children enjoyed the open spaces for games. Indeed, I was the only single male amongst naturist couples but was made to feel very welcome. I would recommend this site to anyone, (weather permitting), and will certainly be returning as even during inclement weather I had a good time.

Agree with you Manor Farm is brilliant. We stayed there for two week at easter before moving down to Portugal. We loved the dog walk area that Kate has created.

We have never had to book at Manor farm - just pitch up and wait for Kate to pop over for payment - very relaxed.

Have it on very good advice from our naturist friends that the naturist end has had a make over electricity points and lots more water taps plus some better screening.

Just read on another forum that this site is indeed having a makeover as Shaz n Dave suggested;

"The owner of the site now has much higher occupancy in the naturist section than the clothed section and so, due to demand, the dividing fence is apparently going to be moved this winter to enlarge the area for those who prefer to camp in the buff." (motorhomefacts.com).

If true this is very good news, not only because the site is well worth a visit but possibly indicates that naturist campers are coming out of their shells. Or their caravans.

One reason we haven't stayed here is because the naturist  area didn't have electricity, while the clothed area does. So indeed this is all very good news. We are fortunate living near several Clothes Optional beaches including Budleigh, but it has to be said that our favourite is Slapton. Based on this feed back we will definitely be able to go, and now stay.   

I started this thread a year ago, as we had just bought a tent after a fifteen year break from camping. We had our first trip to Manor farm with our new tent that June. The weather was great, and our fellow campers mostly caravaners and motor homers made us most welcome. Unfortunately due to work commitments we could only stay for two nights. After our brief return to camping two things were apparent. First. We enjoyed the friendly and welcoming nature of naturist campers, and second we had grown out of camping in a tent. Two hours to put it up, and hours spent each end at home loading and unloading the car.  So that weekend we made the decision to raid our savings and buy a motor home (small one) It was August before we found one that we liked that we could afford, and our first trip out was a textile trip to the new Forrest. However I really wanted to get one more trip to Manor farm  before the end of The year. We made it towards the end of September, and it was a bit chilly. We still had a nice relaxing few days on a site virtually empty. So this year I am determined to get back to Manor farm and hopefully bump into those people who made us feel welcome last time.     😉

i have camped at manor farm for several years but not for the past 3 yrs (sigh) i found it hospitable and the facilities clean the cooking area and fridge made a welcome +

when i visited,
it is within easy walking distance to slapton sands and the owners of the post office are very nice selling most things on one visit i forgot my cup and the owners of the post office gave me one of their own(free) as they had sold out
not a big deal but it was nice as a tourist to be accepted,
over all i would rate this site 10/10
i am 60% tattooed and unlike most naturist friendly sites (most frowned on my tats)kate mentioned that a family member had tats and i was welcome the campers welcomed me to their bbq
overall the was a relaxed overtone

Been there, done that, don't need the t-shirt. Will be going back hopefully very soon 😉

If you plan to go remember to take loo roll (not provided) & 50p or £1.00 for the shower meter :-/
