We went there for a few days last summer , stayed in the Bedroom in the Farmhouse , which was quality , but a bit pricey. They do food as well , the nearest pubs are 3 miles away so it is a bit remote. If you like peace and quiet , and great views , its good . 😀

We were there this summer and enjoyed our stay.Lovely to walk in the meadow adjacent to the camping field and to say hello to the pot bellied pigs.

I think that they may be bacon by now!
Lovely site. Takes tents, caravans, motorcaravans, does B&B and has two static caravans for hire. Swimming pool (solar heated), hot tub, proper log sauna, lovely walking fields. In all, a superb site.

The pot bellied pigs are long since eaten I'm afraid.  Our dog loved them though; also the dog exercise areas.  We had a great time this summer in our caravan and met some really nice people.
Only disappointments were that the showers weren't very warm and could also be a bit draughty as there was no glass in the windows.  Also that the hot-tub didn't always seem too clean.
We'd give it a 3* rating.

I hope you don't mean that literally!! lol.
Seriously though, I really enjoy the rural setting and peaceful atmosphere. May bump into you next summer @ Acorns. Merry Christmas!

It was nice, it was peacefull, but i have to be honest, I think it was dear, especially when the charge is per person, not per caravan or tent, etc.

We had a lovely long weekend at Acorns last Easter, can certainly recommend it, as well as the welcome you get from Andy & Kath. Sauna was lovely on a very cold day, the swimming pool wasn't in use but the hot tub was lovely. Table tennis table was a bit warped, to say the least and no room to move around it but plenty of exercise going downstairs and back up to retrieve lost balls ...
Lovely walks to be had, the ducks were entertaining too.
The owners are putting a lot of love and care into making it nice for visitors and we shall definitely be going again.

Had 4 nights there last year. Wonderful both Andy and Kathy are very welcoming. The evening meals are excellent. Would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. Can't wait for some better weather so I can make a return visit.

Yes, Andy has done a lot of work over the winter months. Some of the piches have a hard standing, all have water and electric hookup. I woke up Monday morning and thought I had gone deaf it was so quiet. The ganes room has had a lot of work done all down stairs in the side barn. the shop is starting to get well stocked. Kathy has just installed a vending machine. We had a great couple of days and looking forward to next week when we go again. And of course is was great to meet amberambler

That was the duvet over your head, Grommit ;D

It was nice to meet you both also.

Smashing place, is Acorns, but don't tell everybody. It's a secret retreat for genuine naturists and we don't want it to get too busy  ::)lol,lol

We went for 5 days last year on way back from Nudefest.
Excellent site where a lot of work of high quality has been done. Loved the view of Dartmoor in the distance so much I had to go and walk it (nude). 🙂

A little bit pricy though for us Northern tight wallets and we notice 2010 prices have gone up a good whack.  🙁

[edit]I should qualify my pricey comment by saying that it is probably realistic when you count all that you get included. Just a bit more than we like to pay. [/edit]

I enjoyed my holiday at Acorns last July. I stayed in the B&B but there is camping and caravan spaces. Excellent evening meal available for B&B and other residents if ordered in advance. I will definitely be going to visit Andy and Kathy again.  Have a look at www.acornsindevon.co.uk  there is lots of good photos on their website.[reason]Corrected Link[/reason]
