We are regulars at Acorns. The site continues to develop and we always meet great people - whatever the weather!

Hoping to be there again next week

I've been for b&b and also a week in one of the static caravans this year with distant views of Dartmoor and nearby, their chicken run!  Andy and Kathy are excellent hosts, beautiful setting and facilities good in my opinion. There was a good cross section of ages as well as visitors from Europe. I hope to return next year.

If you do that Grommit, you will have all sorts of waifs and strays inviting themselves in and helping themselves to your malts.  ;):D

We camped there for 4 nights, was a nice place just shame about the wet weather. Managed to get in the hotub and use Sauna though. Hope to go back again this year. May try the static caravans next time as close to Sauna and showers and will be warmer !

I went there last year as a single, very friendly. They have quite a bit of room for camping.Bit of a suprise when I knocked on the door to register. The owners wife came through an internall door completely naked. I don't know whether the postman gets the same treatment. The only slight thing against it is that the site is quite high and when the wind blows you need the windbreak. Worth a visit though. they have a website 🙂

I dont think this is too far from me. I do like to camp so maybe its worth a shout. Especially if this good weather keeps up!

Well I went to Acorns for the first time on Thursday and camped over night and have to say how great it was (apart from the weather) everyone I met there was friendly and made me feel very welcome the most dissapointing thing was my performance at both darts and pool but hey in time and with a little practice I may actually beat someone
