Me and my wife recently went abroard for the first time to Santorini. Doubt we would ever have gone if it weren't for her brother getting married there.
I had been wanting to try a naturist beach for quite some time so I found out where one was before we went.
One day we hired a car and I scared her to death. She just couldn't adjust to vehicles on the wrong side of the road. She got me to take her back to Kamari and then I drove off on my own. I headed for Vlychada beach and set off walking up the beach not sure what I would see.
I went about 50 yards and there was a man in a t-shirt but was bottomless. I thought great, this must be the place I was looking for. The beach was probably about 1/2 mile long and there were about 20 naturists along it. I picked a spot about 20 yards between two couples and sat down. Without hesitation I stripped off and for the next couple of hours was sunbathing and swimming in the buff. When I finished I then walked the half mile back up the beach and only got dressed when I was approaching the car park. Nobody cared that I was naked and I just couldn't believe the brilliant sense of freedom I felt, especially when walking up the beach.
I can't wait to go abroad again. I will try to convince my better half to join me next time, but she seems reluctant to do so, although she was terrified of flying but I got her on a plane.
I am now also looking for some local opportunities to go naked but there doesn't appear to be much happening around Doncaster.
Lots of us have reluctant other halves. I go to a swim, but I can't persuade 'er to join me. I'm fortunate she does not put up a fuss when I go and will come with me naturist gites in France.
Your first time is I think typical. It's really great to have discovered the life-style.

Totally OT but I can't resist a bit about the last time I hired a car on the Canary Islands.
For the last 20 years I had been driving automatics so I forgot that I needed to chenge down when going up hill until it was almost too late.
I then pressed down on the clutch while my left hand went for the gear lever and found the door handle.
We didn't damage the car and lived to tell the tale.

Do not do unto others as you would that they should do unto you. Their tastes may not be the same.
