Hi all,

Earlier this year I had my first nude experience when we were on holiday in Switzerland and visited some thermal hot baths and I bought a extra ticket for the sauna complex. So the hot spring was just clothed and then I went to find the sauna complex and when I entered I noticed that male and female were strolling around nude.
There were people in swim suits too but I decided it would be fun to join in and bare all so hung up my shorts and towel in hand visited the sauna and it was just a great feeling and people didn't even seem to blink at all.
After spending a while visiting the various sauna's and steam rooms etc I was on a real high.
Then a few days later on the hol I managed to persuade my wife to visit another thermal spa but this was not quite as good as there was just 1 naturist sauna which was separate from the others and couldn't walk around nude.

My wife is not interested in trying the naturist thing but she doesn't seem to mind that I really like it which is good.

Yes so since my experience in Switzerland I have been thinking and researching a lot. Last week I was working away for a night near Oxford and the hotel was in a tiny little village and it had really nice gardens and a stream running through it and my room was in a out building with easy access to the grounds outside so I was thinking about naturist and I thought hey it's a nice warm evening it would be so nice to go for a wander nude. I left the room with only my room key in hand and went for it and WOW what a great feeling, no one was around and I was walking round nude then went back to the room for a bit but couldn't resist going again so I went back out but left the hotel and went for a stroll round the village and I just found it such a thrill. The only thing that concerned me was that if caught would people assume I was a dodgy guy on the prowl rather than a naturist out for a walk ?!! Thinking about going to the stoke waterworld naturist night but is that one just for family's really ?

It is certainly family friendly, but is absolutely not for families only. I have been half a dozen times and my son (now 14 years old) usually comes with me, however when I've gone on my own it has been just as much fun (and easier to slip into the bar for a pint!).

If you enjoy playing in water (the pool is really not too good for "proper" swimming) then you will love Waterworld naturist nights. Your only regret will be that you did not go sooner.

Have fun,

Ian.

PS Don't forget that you need to buy tickets in advance and that they will be posted to you, so don't leave it to the last minute.

It's never too late to have a happy childhood.

I have been going to the canaries for quite a few years and a friend at work asked me if I had been to the naturist section of the beach which I replied no and why would I, he then told me to try swimming with no shorts on and he said I would never want to wear anything again on a beach and in the water, well I did try it although was very nervous when stripping naked for my first time in public with my wife Angie and daughter both thinking I had gone mad, and anyway he was dead right I absolutely loved it. as soon as I got home I looked for places to swim and be nude in england, I was lucky to find a small friendly swim group in the north west not too far from home and I am now naked whenever possible and have made a lot of genuine friends through naturism.

If we were meant to be naked we would have been born that way.

Before my first nude experience I had the typical textile outlook.  Why? I could never..!  I had read a few articles about naturism and seen plenty of pictures (those put me off if anything).  The articles however made me question why not and if so many seemingly sane people said it was good for then perhaps it might be.

One holiday in Crete we went to the beach at Via (not naturist itself) and just over a headland there was a smaller quieter beach with a roughly painted sign  "Nudist Beach" out of curiosity we went onto it.  There was a clothed couple in one corner and single nude man sun bathing roughly in the centre of the beach who smiled as we walked past.  We found a spot well away from the thers and near to the sea for a swim and layed our towels out.  I determined to go nude, I was terrified but no-one was watching .  I would never have dreamed taking off a pair of very brief trunks could feel so good; a total lack stress and complete well being; almost a therapy.  My wife took off her bikini and while she felt relaxed it was not the same special sensation for her; even today on beaches it is always who bares first though she generally follows suit.  This beach though "nudist" was passed by a number of textiles who appeared not to notice us, some even stayed and swam but kept their costumes on.   After initially coyly covering ourselves we though why should we; it was nudist beach after all; and we acted normally.  I found myself thinking "why don't you try it, it really feels good".  any feelings of self consciuossness just went.  After an hour another couple came to the beach and selected a part as far from the sea as they could.  The man came down first wearing shorts which he dropped just before going into the water.  The woman almost marched down the beach completely naked and obviously proud to be that way.  After that day when on holiday we find beaches where nudity in accepted if we can; whilst I do not relax properly if I am the only nude of the beach I don't mind being in a minority on a CO beach though you seem to find on nude beaches almost everybody is nude and the textiles are in the minority.

As to why I like going nude, I honestly don't know.  I do know that it feels better and since becoming a beach naturist I go nude in the home more often than I used to.  I'm retired and do much of the housework and most of the cooking.  When I'm on my own if the weather is warm I can spend most sometimes all of the day naked just pottering about hoping the door bell does not ring.  I shall always be a closet rather than an open naturist though if they suddenly said I could go nude in the local swimming pool, which I use costumed regularly, I would probably never take a costume with me again.
