I remember my first time being nude in public. It was on an official nudist beach, but I chose a point as far away from other people as possible. Like probably most men, my thoughts were - what if my manhood gets a bit too prominent? Actually, once I stripped off the opposite happened and I began to think - well, nobody's going to be impressed by me. The problems we men have! Need I have worried? Not a bit! The feel of fresh sea air on my whole body more than made up for any worries I might have had and before long I was in the water - freezing cold, so I 'shrank' even more - with others around. It didn't matter! The feeling was so great and from then on I was hooked. Incidentally, much later on a crowded nudist beach I had been lying on my stomach feeling very relaxed when I started noticing - well I could continue in euphemisms, but I won't - I started getting an erection. No matter how long I lay there it only got worse. In the end I thought, what the hell and stood up to go into the water. I don't know whether I was more relieved or disappointed that no-one noticed me at all!
I have seen loads of erections when I've been on the beach, a lot of them when the men were asleep and totally unaware ;D

I'd never thought about getting an erection when asleep on the beach but I have known to wake at home with one; usually down to a full bladder. I cannot remember ever getting an erection on a beach but my standard method of coping with it would be to sit hunched forward or lie of my front until it subsided; it never stays very long unless you take steps to keep it that way.
By and large a facet which many new naturists worry about but in reality something which is rarely an issue. As you get older getting an erection at all can be more of a problem; though thankfully not quite yet.

I once fell asleep in the middle of the sunbathing lawn of a naturist club with out the wife with me...(she always gives me a nuge) to this day I can see myself snoring really loud and every body moving away. Hope that was all I did !!!! sorry to stray away from the subject in hand.

I remember coming home a long distance on an over night flight. I couldn't sleep a wink. Finally I dropped off on the coach from the airport to home only to be awoken almost immediately by my wife because I was snoring!! 😕
Back to the original post, one of the pleasures of life must be to walk up with a stiffy, they don't come so often as the years roll by!! (NB ED is not a problem) I've never had the pleasure/displeasure of waking up on the beach with an embarrassing erection.

It was on the beach, so I just sat hunched up a bit until I thought it safe enough to run into the water for a bit to cool down.
The world didn't end, and the Naturist Police didn't decend to kick me off the beach. I hope it doesn't happen again, but if it does, I'll do my best to keep it to myself and not wave it around!

I think that is possible to controlate erections in the nudist places. For me to be nude in the nudist places is a normally thing. I never been stimulated to have erections but I think that in for the men is a normally situation, is necesary to be discret and don't be exhibitionist.

That is the trouble with the establishment of the naturist world they deny that anything ever happens rather than saying if it does ignore it. I am so sorry you felt annoyed at having a perfectly normal male bodily reaction.
I do not understand this continuing reaction about making erections such an issue if they happen. Yes if the man indulges in masturbation or flaunts it then we have an issue but otherwise what is the problem.
I always thought being a naturist was about accepting people as they were. Sometimes men may be erect.
Most of us accept that if it does happen as long as you don't draw attention to yourself it will subside relatively quickly. Sitting or lying to make it less obvious helps. Going for a swim if close to the water generally works. I find that erections just don't happen on the beach, whether it's the fear of embarrassment or the fact that sex is off the agenda at the time I'm not sure. They tend to happen at home when nude either alone or as a couple and even then don't stay long unless you decide to put them to good use!
