My first time was about ten years ago-I was staying at my parent's house on the Kent coast during summer and decided to take myself off to the private beach at Sandwich.  I think I'd vaguely heard about it being part naturist but at the time I didnt think of it. 

Lovely summers day, spent a while in my shorts at the 'textile' end before wandering off for an explore. I think there was a notice about seeing people unclothed past this sign, or maybe I misremember! Anyway I walked up into the dunes and started to see couples and people naked just enjoying the sun. 

I was both very slightly shocked and also a bit envious that folks could be so free! Anyway after much mental debate I dropped my shorts, took my towel and found a spot.  Was very surprised and pleased how friendly people were, saying hello as they strolled past but also stopping to chat etc.  I met some very nice folk that day.

I have been back a few times since, but i gather it is non-naturist now-maybe someone can tell me? I live in central london so sadly don;t get much opportunity to be naked-but generally am at home.
