Seems like a sensible second thread since joining! I've so enjoyed reading the many great reports and stories i thought I'd add a bit of my own history.
I've been a naturist for roughly 10 years although for the majority of the time it was limited to simply being on my own, indoors and later with my girlfriend (now wife) in home and garden. My chance to strip off came when I finally cut the apron strings when let loose at university and was in a priviledged position in having my own flat.
This isn't particularly notable (or particularly brave!) so I'd class my first true naturist experience being a holiday to the Natura Palace in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote with my wife in 2005. Now this was purely an impulse thing, brought on by weeks of stressful work and we both decided to go for the week before Xmas. This wasn't supposed to be a naturist holiday in any way! We simply picked the first hotel we liked the look of and booked. As it turns out though (and the 'Natura' bit should have rung bells!!), the Natura palace is absolutely perfect for shy 'would be' naturists. It's a textile hotel but had a separate naturist garden, naturist spa and a naturist beach a couple of miles away. [In fact, I note with delight that it's now in Peng's new 'nearly naturist' list...hopefully that'll throw a few more naturists its way...]
Anyways, I couldn't let the chance pass...and it was purely by chance! (In fact I was more excited to go to Playa Blanca for the great Scuba diving!) I used the garden a couple of times. First time I was the only one in there (it was December remember!), but the second time there were about half a dozen folks and me. That I would class as being my 'first time'.
It was a shame was wife (fiancee then) decided not to join me, but she has gladly been buff with me in the house, garden and on holiday since (in our cottage and their gardens).
I've never been to a naturist spa, beach or retreat in the UK but i've been getting those work stresses again so maybe its time to shake off clothes and the humdrum of regular life. Bit frustrating I'm thinking that in mid-November and it's 0 degrees out but hey-ho!
Anyways. I look forward to reading more and maybe chatting with a few people down the line.
Si (and Jo looking over my shoulder at present!)

Hi Simon,
Do you know if the Natura Palace in Playa Blanca still has a naturist area as you went in 2005. I have Googled the hotel but there is no mention of naturism I could find, thanks.

PMs & emails welcome.
Hi Phil. My check in Peng's recent 2010 brochure (page 62) still mentions the naturist garden and clothes-op spa as well as the close proximity to the Papagayo naturist beaches...this is available online at http://pdf.lvolume.net/presentation.php?publication=peng_brochure_10
I remember looking back in 2005 at the hotel website and not seeing any reference then...which is probably why we didn't twig it was a good naturist spot! So bottom line...i think the facilities are still there...however there used to be a seperate website for the spa...but i couldn't find it anymore so i don't know any details on it...i do remember it was quite a spacious place but i didn't use it.

Simon.
Thanks for that, love Playa Blanca and the Papagayo naturist beaches, I will have to put that hotel on my list.
