My wife and I have been married and holidayed together for over a quarter of a century - always clothed - always with the kids. I love walking on the beach and many times have walked through / past naturist areas wondering what it would be like and if it was for me. This year we were in our camper van on the Gironde at Lacanau with my youngest daughter. Every day there were lots of naturists at the beach and my 16 yr old mocked them mercilessly. She flew home after a week and I determined to find out if naturism was for me. we went back to the coast and I engineered us always onto the naturist sections saying to Lynn "we are the odd ones out here" after a couple of days I said "I'm going to loose the shorts today" and did. Lynn did nothing but laugh - looking at me all brown with a big white patch I would too. For me it was a revelation, I felt free, comfortable and quite at one with myself more so than any time I can remember. We met some lovely British naturist motorhomers who were very supportive and for me made it easier as I wasn't on my own. Lynn gaduated to removing her top and then eventually her bikini bottoms "only lying down" through the rest of the holiday. We are going back next year.
If you have thought about naturism, just do it, this year. I wish I had years and years ago. Don't think I will ever pluck up the courage to tell the mother in law or the kids though. 😀

Leave the kids and in laws to them selves. tell if asked and don't bother if not asked...would be our advice. After a while you find there are others like you....check out how many folks you know go to that area and know that beach...chances are they are like the majority of folks you see on a nude beach...naturists too. ;D

Hello Phil and Lynn, welcome to the Forum. We took the first steps to naturism 8 years ago and loved it. Our kids were in their late teens and when they asked why we had started going to the beach so often, we told them. Apart form thinking we were mad, they were quite happy for us to carry on going naked but didn't want to get involved themselves.

We have found many beaches suitable for naturism while traveling down the west coast of France in our motorhome, just move a few yards from the entrance to the beach and most people enjoy the freedom that you have found.

Do we have to be members to book in or not?

No need to be or become members, genuine naturists usually get up to 3 visits a year before being asked to become members although most of the people who visited last year decided to join.
Suitable couples are offered 3 trial visits without obligation.
If you were to join you would get half price membership because of the distance, then reduced members camping fees.
Just open at the contact page on our website and let us know when you would like to visit, weekends are best as there are always members on site to make you welcome. perhaps you might mention your contact on NC.

It is very hard to describe the inner enjoyment of being naked .

my wife and i first time at the age of 51 was last year on holiday in cornwall found a nice spot and dared to go naked were seen by people who just passed us by
we also want to make our first visit to a club as soon as we dare
