I am sure that most of you will have heard of or even been to Cap D'agde on the south of France.
We went there two years ago as day visiters and we enjoyed it so much we spent an extra day there. Booking for the next year(2009) we spent a week on the campsite and although it is large (2500 places approx)it is well screened and we found it well run and friendly. Also you have on hand the complete village with all the shops and bars and restaraunts that you could want. We found it totally brilliant and are looking forward to this year and ten days of sun.

yes we have been there on the camp site as well .its lively place thats for sure
I have been to Cap d'Agde. There are hotels, supermarkets, nightclubs gay and straight, swinging clubs, shops, sex-shop, restaurants, etc.
All can be used naked, but most people will dress in the evening. The campsite is super with tress for shade, electricity and water, everyone here is friendly. The beach is sandy with many coffee-bars and restaurants. The beach is long but at either end are textile areas, and the naturists are tourist attraction with many coming to for a look.
There is lots of sex at Cap, especially in the dunes area with all sorts of goings on both straight and gay. Open oral sex on the beach is common so are erections which you will see everywhere no one seems to mind, usually the police ignore most of it.
The Cap are not family friendly, however many families with young sons are there. To go to Cap you need to be very openminded and not get upset by the things that go on there. If you are a prude it is not for you.
If I was ever to go to Cap D' Agde, the campsite most appeals to me to stay at definitely looking at it's website. But I think the overall 'tone' of the place puts me off by reports. Pity. It does seem to be as much to do with exhibitionism as naturism which is not my scene.

Its true that you get all types of people there but when you consider the quantity of people that use the site it's not suprising that you get exhibitionists. But we didn't find it that much of a bother as that is not our lifestyle and therefore kept away from the nightlife although it was amusing to watch the array of costumes that people wear in the evenings. Also the families tend to use the beach nearer the complex during the day, its if you stray further up the beach or into the dunes that you will find goings on. But like anywhere if you look for it you will find it as unfortunatly people will associate naked folk will sex.

how strange just got a brochere sent to me form there today
I was considering a holiday there this year. I know that my wife will be put off if it is 'openly swing-y'. Is this the case ? I had accepted that that behaviour would exist if you went to find it, but if it happens in open public areas I'll give it a miss.
Anyone know of a 'next-best-thing' suggestion ? Thank you
Try Club Aphrodite near Port Leucate. Nice facilities, reasonable chalet/apartment accommodation, clean beach which is not too crowded and a good restaurant. There wasn't any overt exhibitionism when I went and most folk seemed happy being au naturel without frightening the horses......
i prefer the french atlantic coast so sites such as La Jenny or Montelivet/Euronat might be an idea
