We are currently staying at Le Colombier naturist campsite in the vendee, in france. It is a lovely medium sized friendly campsite with great facilities. See the website. I dont think anyone would be dissappointed with a holiday here.

We have stayed here twice first time 2 weeks second 10 days. It is a great little site and the facilities are very good.

However the site is run by and seems to be run for the Dutch who although quite friendly do tend to keep the Brit at a distance.

Well worth the visit though

Quite agree with MarknGail, we stayed for a week last year, and felt very left out, our 2nd week was at Le Couderc which was very enjoyable and made new freinds

In my experience, it is true that the Dutch naturists tend to remain aloof and not to mix spontaneously with the other nationalities in naturist resorts.
But if you try to make friends with them, you usually find them very responsive and very friendly, quite ready to mix and to share. When we see a Dutch family arriving close to our caravan, we make a point of offering them a drink after the long drive, and this has never been turned down. Some have remained friends beyond the duration of the holidays, and we are still in touch years later.
The Dutch often have a good command of English, which makes communication easy.

Our experience of the Dutch is that there seem to be two types.

Some go to Dutch run campsites and Dutch enclaves within large multinational camp sites. These tend to stay within their national group and in bulk can be as offensive as some groups of British.

The others tend to go to smaller, French run camp sites, mix with the other nationalities and are extremely friendly and civilised.

I've been to Le Colombier for the last two years and I am hopeful of being able to go again this year.
It is a very nice campsite with wonderful and clean facilities.
The one thing I did enjoy about this site is that nudity is accepted at all times and in all places, needless to say I spent my whole week nude including dining in the restraunt in the evenings.

We have been as well and had a god time.  🙂

Got on fine with the Dutch.

Challenging fishing pool with carp in it (incl v big crucians). fish with sweet corn. Watch the brambles when fishing nude!  😉

Really good was the the Cinescenie at Puy de Fou! 😎
Awesome!
http://www.puydufou.com/en#/cinescenie/
The main show takes place in the evening on a huge outdoor stage behind the ruined castle. It tells the story of the 700 years of history in the area. The Cinescene boasts the largest stage in the world, thousands of actors, hundreds of horses and about 400 fireworks per performance[1]. All of the dialog is in French, but English and Dutch dialog is provided via headphones. All of the actors and actresses (even the children) come from the local villages and are volunteers. The CineScenie is only peak season - starts 7 June in 2008 and not every day.
