We would love to hear from someone who has been to CHM Montalivet. I kept looking for all the information I could find online, and people kept mentioning that sometimes Euronat was very textile, but that CHM Montalivet has an older, slightly more hippy feel.
We bit the bullet and booked an appartment in CHM Montalivet for a week, but since then every testimonial I find seems to be talking about how great Euronat is but very little mention of CHM.
I'm worried we made the wrong choice! I would love to hear some detailed accounts of what the resort is like - especially compared with Euronat. Even secondhand info is better than nothing.

Having stayed twice in CHM and visited Euronat (unofficially on an early morning naked cycle ride) my comments are:
Euronat is more "manicured" having an almost suburban feel with metalled access roads almost everywhere.
CHM, which always seems to be under repair, is much more rustic in character and a bit rough at the edges in parts.
However CHM scores every time for us as it is within easy walking distance of the Montalivet-les-Bains, a typical French seaside town, with its restaurants & shops together with its daily market in season with both a good French food section and a seaside tat and wine street market.
Also - compared with the "evening and shopping textile" environment alleged to be in Euronat I have never had any problems with nude 24/7 at CHM.

Is it a relaxed feel? I know we've used the word "hippy" in almost every post, but what we're hoping for is a relaxed environment like those really nice, sleepy festivals you sometimes get where people are just laid back, calm, sat round with friends, kids running round etc. What's the age range? Not too much seedy stuff going on - sex in the sand dunes etc etc? Would make Alix feel uncomfortable. And decent food on site? Most people nude? All stuff it's hard to find from reviews on the internet, that's all.

We found it totally relaxed in mood.
What's the age range?
Babes in arms to pensioners.
Not too much seedy stuff going on - sex in the sand dunes etc etc? Would make Alix feel uncomfortable.
No seedy stuff at all on site or on the beach. The dunes in the vicinity are all fenced off to prevent erosion. There is alleged to be a dogging zone about 5 miles south.
And decent food on site?
When we were last there the Pizzeria by the beach and the fishmonger/restaurant in the square were superb.
Most people nude?
About 90% during the day, 100% on the beach and 10% (including me) in the evening.
All stuff it's hard to find from reviews on the internet, that's all.

I have just revisited my answers to your questionnaire and ought to add that a some of the hotels in Montalivet-les-Bains had seriously good restaurants when we were last there (well worth getting dressed for).
