An experiment today... to see if I really need all of the expensive hiking clobber whilst out walking.

The dogs and I went for a walk in Northumberland today, to a nature reserve not far from the village of Bardon Mill. We walked about 6 miles over very steep terrain by the side of the River Allen. I stripped off on the return leg, really to see what it felt like. Quite pleasant, although being constantly on the lookout for other hikers began to detract from the experience and so I dressed as soon as I saw the first person coming towards me.

Later, whilst experimenting with a couple of photographic projects, around 20 ramblers suddenly appeared. I'm sure some of them saw an eye full. I wasn't able to get the images I wanted either so I'll leave that for another day and another model.

All in all, an interesting experience.

I would hope the weather on your ramble is better than it is today as with the wind as it today you would have difficulty keeping control of your modesty and keeping your camera steady.

I like to be nude in wilder country, especically moor and mountain. You have to pick your time, weather wise to be safe, but, and it's the big but, you can see people coming from miles away. Remember the motto. If you can't see what they are wearing they can't see what you are not wearing. Enjoy your walks and watch your camera

Ah well, you may have to wait until you are close up then, to see and be seen.
I go walking on Exmoor, and in the North Devon and Somerset area regularly, with very few enconters with textiles.

With my eyesight - that'll be about 6 ft then!   😮

I would love to find somewhere up here to go for a ramble in the buff!
Do we have any members from the lakes who know of anywhere?
Maybe sometime next year we could organise a naked ramble with a few of the other members?

Back again!!!

We used to use a local wood for naked walks but it never seems warm enough these days. we never got any trouble as they are always quite.

Hi all
The trouble with woods is you can't see people coming - neither of course can they see you. Just hope they are short sighted too!!

true you can't see people coming but most people these days make so much noise you here them long before there's any problem and if they are dog walkers you normally see the dog five mins before the owner catches up to it.

Took no notice of the forecast, and went for first naked ramble of the year.
Weather was fine, and in the valley, out of the wind and even the sun shone, Exmoor at its best, almost !
Four naked male ramblers, and a university researcher, clothed and female, who is writing about our senior walker, now over 70.
Here's to the next walk

We achieved it, and therefore it was not too cold.
Admittedly there was one time when we sat in the snow
for a photograph, and as soon as this is avaiable I will
post it on the site.(not my camera and so I must await a copy)

I can't make my mind up, are you brave, daft, silly or what?   ::)

As I'm a bit daft and love sillyness well done, and you are brave too at this time of the year. I think I once managed a bit of nude walking in the Berwyns one February too.   😕

Great stuff fellas. Hope you get the chance to do more.
