Not had many early morning walk opportunities recently and I'm always cautious about getting naked later in the day despite mostly walking in very unpopulated areas.

So today I drove about half an hour from home to an area that I know quite well. It is always busy at weekends, but mostly very quite during the week.

I parked up at 10:30 and sat taking in the peaceful view for while.
With no real destination in mind, but then in no rush to be anywhere else it was the kind of walk I always enjoy.

Walking down a gravel road away from the car with my t-shirt tucked in the waistband of my shorts, where it would stay for the entirety of today's walk, the sound of a shotgun nearby alerted me to the presence of people in the woodland to my left. I had planned on cutting through there, but that was dismissed immediately. Apart from it having no public right of way I didn't fancy getting shot today thanks!

Later on I realised that it was actually a bird scarer as it continued at random periods and from the other side of the valley I could see a tractor ploughing a field in roughly the same area.

I knew from the start today would be a case of catching time to undress where I felt most comfortable. It would be lovely to be able to do the whole walk naked, but given the the time of day and the fact that the sun was shining I had to balance the risk and feeling comfortable about being naked.

Anyway walking in the direction I had chosen I dropped through a woodland and took the opportunity to walk naked carrying my clothes with me and enjoying my first chance to take my clothes off outside today.

The random shotgun sound accompanied my journey, but other than that the peaceful day was lovely to experience.

I reached a bridge over a river and decided to capture the moment.
A little risky here as there is no clear view of the footpath, but I took the shot before walking on after slipping my shorts back on until I rounded the corner ahead.

Having done so there is a path across an open field that I followed. Despite the open space, with woodland above and trees behind a high stone wall below me I felt comfortable enough to again walk naked. The soft grass, still damp underfoot from recent rain felt wonderful. A copse marked the end of the field and the path drops through there across a small wooden bridge that is actually no more than a couple of planks of wood.

Turning off the path I followed the river up into the woodland for a while.
In lovely grassy area under the trees where I spent a while wandering around relaxed and calm. Sitting in the sunshine feeling the cool breeze on my body I felt wonderful and at one with the world.

Eventually deciding to carry on I walked back towards the path and from my vantage point in the woods I could see the path for a fair distance in both directions. To the right a couple were walking across the field in my direction, but at some distance I had loads of time to dress before I rejoined the path and passed them with a cheery good morning.

Once they were out of sight I walked barefoot through the grass again before the next piece of woodland marked a turning in my path.  I walked uphill through the conifer plantation heading for a stile at the top and across a little country road. In the plantation it was typical conifer area. With most of the light blocked out it was cool and shaded. I covered the whole distance naked before reaching the top of the hill. The dry carpet of needles feeling totally opposite the cool soft grass I had walked through a little while back.

A quick glance in both directions when I reached the road and despite only being able to see a short distance I could hear no sound of approaching vehicles. I ran across the road and climbed the stile on the other side. Laughing at the absurdity of it ! Here my dog decided he couldn't get over the second stile and as I encouraged him to do so I was fully aware of being naked on a public road, however quiet it may be!

Despite an urge to get dressed before doing so I climbed back into the road and assisted him over before jumping back into the field again laughing to myself !

I walked to the top of the hill and sat in the sun taking in the view from here.

After a while I followed a path along this edge and despite being out in the country there are three roads I could see. I know people have talked about not being able to detect if someone is naked from a distance, but somehow I felt more comfortable walking with my shorts on here. Still with my shirt off and walking barefoot, it was silly really, but I have driven on the road and the place I was now aiming for is easily visible from there.

I walked on to my immediate destination and took a few pictures of the view and the building its self. A "folly" built in 1927 to keep the workforce of a local businessman busy during the depression.

Apparently it was once very well appointed inside, but has been left to go to ruin, which is a shame given its fairly recent age.

The views from here are fabulous.

I tried to take a shot stood naked in the doorway, but with nowhere to stand the camera all I got was a close-up shot of grass.

Heading back down hill cover was provided by waist high bracken, despite being high up and in view of three houses in the distance I enjoyed walking naked and getting muddy feet, ankles and shins as the path followed a wetland back into the valley.

Cleaning off in a stream near the bottom I picked up the path back to where I started. Just over another stile I spotted a picnic bench and claimed that for another picture.

Again wearing my shorts I wandered back, recrossing the bridge from earlier. An overgrown path just over it caught my eye , so following that It led to a little area next to the outflow from the dam. Feeling warm I decided to cool off for a while and after a quick dip dried off laying in the grass under the sun.

When I got back to the car I took a picture of the tower in the distance just to put it in perspective...

I great walk. a fair bit of it spent naked and having met only one couple of retirement age I cold have walked it all naked had I had the courage to do so except for that one occasion.

Still I love days like these and they all add to my naturist experiences.

Sorry this has gone on a bit, I wanted to give an impression of the time I took on my walk and the lack of a need to rush any of it. I immensely enjoy spending time just being out in the natural world and enjoying its many wonderful riches.

I'm extremely lucky that areas like this are relatively on my doorstep and I want to be able to share the pleasure I get from my adventures.

Happy days !

Mark.

You had a great walk and I'm envious. I need to do another au natural walk. Last ones were short ones on holiday, but you really can't beat a good day out.

I think your pictures are very good. I guess this is either South Yorks or the Peak District?  😕

Keep on with your walking.

I don't think it's the Peak District, but it's close.
It wouldn't be the same walk without Boots!
