The SSB has a policy of arriving at a start point and head-up clothes off and banzai. All that is needed is a map and review the potential textile interactions. Where are they likely? Consider roads, villages, footpaths and density (how many ramblers, horse riders, farmers). Combes are nice because you can lurk behind a tree or hide under leaf-litter and because the line-of-sight is short  there is a little security. Downside is a textile may leap out from behind a bush wheras on open moorland you can see them coming from miles away. In woods you can often hear them or smell them and if they have dogs or children that helps. We are sometimes scared of a deer!! or even a llama! (push-me-pull-you with one head).

A lone male walker specifically is at greater risk of being considered a pervert so find a friend is good advice (or a dog!). Always carry photoidentification and a BN membership card if possible. Never be furtive or threatening but do not fear. Treat textiles with respect and even if they catch you rambling they will ignore you. If you claim you are a naturist the textiles will be afraid if they complain that they are prudes (lets play on this). Be very cautious of children, remember a cow and its calf and treat parents in a similar way. Do not fear police they are not a problem just be honest that you are a naturist and they are changed with protecting your rights as well as ensuring you are no threat to the public. Reassure them and smile.
The dynamics of a group (2+) are much safer unless you are confident.
Enjoy and tell us your experiences on here.
PS: Do not threaten the 'sex-tourists' they may be good friends just give them a wide bearth, smile, say hello. Better to make friends with them than make further enemies IMHO.

Dave if you can make tomorrows SSB walk in the Blackdowns that sounds like a good way to get a feel for the area. I hope the weather is bit kinder than of late for those do manage to go on it.

Meeting Culmstock church @ 10.30 today LR181 GR102135
Update: Over, now nursing the aches and pains of being unfit for our first walk of the year. It must be spring soon as a birthing cow seen suggests  😎 We only saw one textile that would have caught us unawares(two girls on horseback) throughout the day unless we were passing farmhouses/ towns etc. Weather rain as per picture elsewhere on NC.
