Not sure if this is the right section for this but can any recommend any good places to go nude or go for a nude walk in the east midlands/leicestershire area
Hi Andy, i too am looking for places to go walking nude in the east midlands! I am in Northants area, and havent found anywhere suitable!
I am in the same situation - in Northants. Not sure there's much round here, but be keen to here of some options
I'm in the East Midlands - S W Leicestershire to be more precise - and really don't find it difficult to walk naked. I can be naked in less than a mile from where I live. All you need to do is get hold of an Ordnance Survey map, either the 1:50,000 'Landranger' series or better still the 1:25,000 'Explorer' series, then look for likely footpaths and start exploring. Once you realise that most people don't like to go more than a few hundred yards from their cars, it gets quite easy, especially mid-week. One proviso - watch out for popular dog-walking areas, as some dog owners range far and wide!

google maps is your friend. - I would bet that there are dozens of places for naked opportunities

good to hear of others in the area who like places other than beaches. I've posted before about the Bedford Purlieus woods. They are west of Wansford on the A47 - suitable for the Leics, Lincs and Northants naturists. and there is a DEFRA conservation walk around the fields opposite if you prefer to be more open. I only get the chance at lunchtimes but would love to meet others there, my next chance is Thurs 9th Sep around 1215 - 1245 weather permitting.
It would be great to have some more places in the east mids. I am very frustrated that there seem to be so few opportunities around, and would welcome any suggestions for places to go naked
I think there are probably many places that could be used, but will require an OS map & a clothed recce first. I live north of Lincoln & the countryside is very open so taking the first step is a daunting prospect, but i believe that the second time will be easier & so on, I havent taken that step yet but i'm getting there & confident it won't be long!!
If i'd known i was going to live this long i'd have looked after myself better!

I sometimes walk in Salcey Forest near Northampton. There are some tracks for hourse riders which are pretty deserted after 9:00. Just after 17 is also a good time. Best not to try this when the schools are on holiday though. I also walk alongside some of the canals, look of r long strech of canal on Google Earth away from main roads and houses. Had a few encounters but (amost) always friendly reaction.
Several of us go nude walking in Sherwood Forest and the surrounding countryside, just North of Nottingham, during the summer months. We walk 3-7 hours between 10-25 miles in wonderful scenery of forest, heathland and fields.
