Does anyone know of any ideal places in the Peak District where it would be considered fairly safe to do a bit of nude walking, maybe swimming too if the location has a watercourse. Thinking of heading up that way this coming summer for a day out.

I think you'd need to choose a clothed walk beforehand and check out how many people you see.
The trouble is, although the scenery's fine, there are a lot of tourists, and while somewhere might be suitable for an early morning walk a la Mark, later in the day it may be a different matter.
Whilst the walk around the dams near Ladybower are a bit off the beaten track, there are cycle hire places to cater for visitors.

Plenty of places to walk..
lots of secluded areas all over the peak district.

the trick I guess is know your venue. As a visitor that's pretty hard to do. As Andrew suggests take a walk in a few places and get to know the lie of the land.

From Chesterfield, you're pretty much on the doorstep anyway.

I found a promising area when on a textile recee.

It is the upper reaches of the River Don. Langsett Moors above the reservoir of the same name. Enter from A628 and go south. This goes to the ridge above Derwent resr.

Not too far from Chesterfield.

Glad you confirmed my impression.
I was just passing and only had 1 1/2 hrs to check it out but I met and spoke to a textile guy who walks it every month. He told me there are 3 more of them and they walk alone (on Sats) and meet at a pre-arranged point for lunch break and safety. He said they almost never see anyone else apart from near the resr.

i have had many naturist walks above Dovestone reservour just outside Manchester(search google maps).the rule i follow is to strip off once i have got outside the main area where people are walking enjoying the reservour area.
heading off the main footpaths into the hills.i have not bumped into many people however none have ever objected to my nudism.you have to be fit and follow certain rules like if you are alone make sure someone knows where you are heading and take your mobile phone (see country code).the views are fantastic...enjoy

the pic below was taken of my lady friend walking at the edge of one of the higher reservours above dovestone

Yes but I doubt if I can be available for the remainder of this summer.  🙁
I've walked this area (textile) in May.
I agree it is a good location but probably only midweek unless well away from the edges.

Hi
I've walked this area a few times nude. You need to know where to go to avoid the crowded honeypots of the peak district.
Hallam Moors near Redmires Res (west of Sheffield is a good starter.  I often walk naked up there and sunbath undisturbed on the tops.

Give it a try

Never been naked up around Redmires, but plenty of places so long as you stay away from busy weekends.

Go to places around Foolow and Eyam for textile walking, but seen to be very busy for a naturist walk. Would love to do it so if anything is planned I'm in.
