Hi
A very good place where I have been nude rambling recently was beyond the Ladybower Res. on the high moors.  If you drive (only possible Mon-Fri) all the way down the resevoir to the very end beyond the official parking area and shop etc - another 4 miles or so and park there then walk up one of the many little cloughs very soon you are on tracks virtually untouched (well I've never seen anyone when walking).  Further along the way and still climbing you come to a series of small tarns where you can have a skinny dip in full seclusion (well reasonable seclusion).  I'm sure if you did see anyone there they would probably join you - it's very much for the naturist explorer but well worth the hike.  Anyone interested I will gladly show the way.  😀

Do you mean above Derwent Res?

This has been well used by Coast & Country for ni=ude group walks for many years.

I had looked at the web site but as the last updates were 2004 i thought maybe it was no longer current, but having read it carefully then a phone call is called for! thanks for the info.

Currently exploring moorland walks in the South Pennines, Saddleworth and The Peak District.

Any ideas, contributions or established routes?

Peter,

Saddleworth area has been mentioned on here. Above Dovestone res should be OK but possibly only midweek?

Between Langsett Res and Derwent Res towards Barnsley has been used.

I have walked Lad Law near Trawden.

But near Preston Hazlehurst Fell and beyond is very simple to access and use.  🙂

well yes, but unfortunately that means you are mostly in easy reach of the textile world, with the associated risks of being seen. If thats not a problem then I'm sure there are lots of places at the end of the road around Ladybower reservoirs   ðŸ™‚
