Hi
The weather's been a bit grotty this last week but I was still keen to get out for a walk yesterday. So, even though it was raining, I drove out into the countryside and parked up. I stripped off and put on an old front fastening cagoule that reaches to mid-thigh and a pair of sandals and set off. No one would have known I was was naked under the cagoule; I was just another walker well wrapped up from the rain!
The beauty of the cagoule is that it keeps the wind off but you can walk with it open in the right places. (Don't let anyone see you though I think you would be thought of as a flasher or worse!) It can also be slipped off and carried in one hand.
And, at this time of year, walking naked in the rain is magic. It is really something to be experienced. The rain is not cold but the wind can be so you do need a bit of shelter if it's windy.
I was lucky yesterday in that it wasn't too windy. I was able to walk along several quiet lanes down here carrying my cagoule; I would have soon heard any approaching traffic but there was none and there were no other walkers because of the weather. I then turned off onto footpaths where I was able to walk barefoot; bliss. The feel of wet grass and soil on bare feet really makes you feel at one with nature etc. The last part of the walk was along a very rocky track, so it was sandals back on to protect my feet.
I must have been walking for about 1½ hours, 4-5 mile and saw no one although there was another car in the car park when I got back.

Its a great feeling when you are walking in the rain. I agree thats it feels so close to nature. Its also a good time to avoid the dog walkers.

You dont always avoid all dog walkers as my dogs are out at least twice a day rain, shine or even snow...... 🙂
Happiest when naked
A wee bit off topic. We had an almighty downpour here last night and I impulsively went outside naked and let it thoroughly soak me. It felt magic ;D
Smooth again, stayed hairy for as long as I could.
i dropped mandy to work today, and as i had the day off decided to go onto dartmoor for a walk, spent a few hours up there with not another soul in sight, only the occasional bunny jumping out from the bushes and making me jump! ;D
The nicest walk in the rain we've had was along a beach at midnight in Florida. Soft, warm, gentle rain with just us, the sea and the moonlight. Must have been 10 or 12 years ago, but the memory lingers on.
