Wasn't sure if this is a walk report or a naturist adventure. But it involved walking so I'll put it here 🙂
Last week I was walking round some local woods that I frequently spend time in during the quiet part of the day. I had been walking nude but as I got near the carpark I saw someone pull up so I dressed since it wasnt a car I recognised. A couple of little dogs jumped out and came to say hi. Now I had met these dogs before but they had been in a different car. They were followed by a young woman who jumped out of the car and said hello. Turns out her mum or dad sometimes walk the dogs, hence the unfamiliar car.
In my usual way I asked her which route she might be taking round the woods. Normally people are a little confused by the question (not that it's hard to understand but more that it's a strange question to ask). So I quickly explain that I am a naturist and until then I had the woods to myself. I asked her if she had any objections to sharing the woods with a naturist and she replied she has no problem at all with it. So I thanked her and said since she didn't mind I would just wander aimlessly. She cheerfully headed off down one path and I went the other way, stripped off and walked for another half hour until I had to head off to a job.
Today I had a couple of hours spare so I was back at the same woods. We had a warm day here but very dull which is good - tends to stop a lot of people from walking their dogs at the woods. So I'd been strolling about for a while and the rain started. Initially I though - I better get dressed and head back to the car to shelter. Duh! Didn't take long for me to realise how stupid that was since it was still warm and if my clothes stayed in my bag they would be dry and I would be refreshed. And better still nobody would go to the woods to walk in the rain would they?
As I walked up the top of the woods near the car park I spotted the same car the young lady had been in last week. Peering through the trees I could see it was empty so clearly the she'd had already started walking with the dogs and I had no idea where she might be. Since she had said she didnt mind me walking nude I didn't worry too much. My only concern was startling her if she didnt know I was there - I walk barefoot which means I am very quiet when I walk.
I carried out walking for 10 minutes with no sign of anyone else. However, as I approached the end of a track that fed onto a bigger path one of the dogs suddendly appeared walking along the other path the same way I was about to go. The woman was close behind the dog and passed just in front of me as I came out onto the path but she had glanced sideways so knew I was there. Anyway I said sorry if I made her jump and did she want me to get dressed. Not at all she said - dont worry.
I wondered if I should have gone the oposite direction but she seemed perfectly comfortable with me being there so I walked onto the path and up to where she had now stopped to wait for a dag to catch up. So we just stood and started chatting and as the dog caught up we walked along together for a few minutes. Came to another turn off to another path. Said said she was going that way and where would I be going. I said I didnt like to presume she wanted me to walk with her so I could go the other way. Not at all she says. So I walked with her up the other path and ended up walking and chatting about work, dogs, walking nude and how it was the best way to keep clothes dry etc - and after a good 15 minutes strolling together got back to the car park. We stood and chatted for another couple of minutes until I said I was going to carry on walking round again and we said goodbye.
All in all a very pleasant walk, very pleasant company, and left with that feeling that there is another person who doesn't mind at all that I walk nude through the woods.
Nice one Andrew. I'm planning a walk out this evening again, as it's still so hot despite the rain today. Mind you I will be trying to avoid eveyone, just in case.
Ah well that is the advantage of being able to walk during the daytime for me. between 10 and 2 seems to be the time you are least likely to meet people. Evenings you just have to be more careful
She sounds like a nice well adjusted person.

Yes I think so - in fact I met another one today. Posted a bit in the naturist adventure section since it seemed to fit there better 🙂
I also had one as recounted here.

Good story.
But here in Portugal, people don't tend to be friendly with naked people they find. Or at least is what we - naturists - think about them.
I had a good surprise other day too, just to prove these kind of people is the exception, not the rule?
