Having looked at the weather i won't be going on the Ackling Dyke walk. The forecast is changing every time i look at it but is always cool and always breezy and mostly cloudy.

I'm sorry to say Simon that you missed an excellent days walking with SOC on Ackling Dyke yesterday. It is always difficult trying to judge from the forecasts what the weather is actually going to do.

Seventeen of us started out, a little later than usual as we were waiting for the pub, The White Hart, to open at 12.00hrs.

We had some sunny periods and temperatures were somewhere in the upper teens, so everyone was naked for most of the time. We didn't see anyone whilst out, so no cover ups were required at all ! Apparently a first on an SOC walk.

Finally the food at the pub, where the chef is the landlord, was generally agreed to be very good, and at a reasonable price.
