Last September '10, I took my wife to Skiathos, where she went nude for the first time on Little Banana beach. She enjoyed it so much we thought of going back, but now she has asked if there is somewhere else she could visit that might be as good.
Our requirements are, warm weather, a nice sandy beach with no meerkats, beach umbrellas/loungers for rent (we both like to stay out of direct sunlight most of the time), good snorkeling, a nice area to visit/sightseeing when not on the beach.
I have trawled through the reviews on here but nowhere seems to offer the same all-round combination as Skiathos. Unless you know different..... We would want to go for a week, and not spend an absolute fortune.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi    We love Fuerteventura but any of the Canaries any time of the year are up to your requirements

thanks Sunblest. I had thought that the Canaries might be the best bet, and indeed have asked my wife if she would like to go there.
Where would you recommend on Fuerteventura?

Hi Frenchy
Have been to Skiathos on several occasions but prefer to hire a scooter and visit some of the small beaches on the other side of the island from the main road, very quiet just a few naturists there.

We did ride round the island and visit a few other beaches, but didn't find any of them as picturesque as Little Banana.

Hi Frenchy
Agree about the picturesque as Little Banana where there are usually lots of naturists on the almost crowded beach, but prefer the quieter small beaches with less people. usually 3 or 4 couples

I get bored just sitting on the beach with an occasional swim so enjoyed having something to do such as building a small beach shelter with the loads of drift wood that are at the back of the smaller, less accessible beaches, a spare towel draped over the shelter gives some protection from the sun.

Often find someone else has moved in by next day, so just build another one.

A bit like Robinson Crusoe. Ex Engineers just have to find something to do, even on holiday.

if you simply want a lovely naturist beach within a textile holiday , look at tropical Beach on Kos , kardamena. glorious sand only 20 sunbeds ans a little eaterie, good snorkling and only a few textile walkers. Mainly Brits but a few other friendly euro' cousins italy/ france etc. Peaceful and friendly, take a look on websire Captain barefoot.

I like Jerolim just outside Hvar, Croatia very much. It has all you ask for, except a sandy beach. The beaches in Croatia are mostly rocks and concrete. But the water is as clear as in Greece an ideal for snorkeling. Jerolim is a small island about 10-15 minutes by taxi boat from Hvar town. The whole island is clothing optional, except a small area around the restaurant. There are sunbeds and umbrellas to rent. And Hvar has a lot to offer when you are not on the beach

We stayed at Monte Marina and have reviewed it on Trip Advisor

There is also Infiniti in the north of the island but it only has some naturist weeks. There is a dedicated website for all things Fuerteventura but I'm blowed if I can find it. It had a naturist section.

What's so funny about peace, love and understanding?

Infiniti are getting more and more naturist weeks as the initial textile trade dries up.
My preference is still for an apartment on the lagoons at El Cotillo
Search for Fuerteventura posts by me and you will end up with more material on the subject than you could possibly need. 🙂

This of 6 holidays in Croatia was our personal favourite.

However, the restaurant had closed in 2009 when we were there. There is however a small snack bar with all you might require. Hvar Town is magical.

Hi Guys, look no further than Gran Canaria,Maspalomass beach is fantastic, several refreshment kiosks located in naturist area and toilets,it is very easy to just stroll to the beach an Maspalomass/Melanomas is a lovely area.
You will love this area while on the beach you can take a stroll along the front almost to the next town along, still enjoying the feeling of the sun on your body,or investigate the fantastic sand dunes.
You  will enjoy 🙂

Well thanks for all the good advice.
We ended up booking a week at Infiniti. I figured that if we didn't like the beaches the hotel itself offered enough for a week's loafing in the sun. We both wanted to go somewhere where we could be naked virtually 24/7, in the company of others; this will be a first for my wife as every time we have been away in this country the weather has meant we had to dress up warmly at least some of the time  🙂
