The important point is as  the last postee pointed out what you want to do with the camera. General, portrait or landscape. If your current model dos'nt do want you want try to get one that does....

Well suppose at the end of the day,  all I want to do is capture what I saw, and help me remember how thing were. I suppose any camera will do that, so I answered my own question !

I certainly will not spend silly amounts on a camera, I was in the camera shop the other day, and some lovely latest models. But how can they justify the prices they are asking ?

made up my mind, I will stick with the D60, unless a really good camera deals comes up !
