Just been to Playa Blanca and spent the week naked by our our own villa pool but went to Papagayo beaches twice. The 1st time we got there, I looked round and saw more naked than not and "what the hell", stripped off. My wife didn't but did eventually go topless as we had a hand in hand stroll up the beach and back. Whilst you can't help but look or glance, it doesn't feel wrong, it's just so relaxing and I wish I'd done it years ago. My wife is a lot more reticent and probably won't go naked on the beach but didn't mind me and we even went back a 2nd time. This time we were on a smaller beach and as the ratio was more clothed than naked, I did feel a little more isolated but later in the day we moved to the larger beach we'd used a few days before and I felt more comfortable. Will definitely be going back and maybe the next step is a local swim.
meh, I think when you are new to it, you are going to feel a little isolated when in a naked minority amongst textiles. Once you get more used to it, you probably won't be bothered. Anyway I'm pleased to read that you enjoyed the experience, and thanks for posting.

Well done meh, it is exhilarating even after a long while.
Don't put pressure on your wife but you might find she moves into the naked lifestyle in her own time, static at first taking in the freedom and then walking with you naked. My wife usually carries a towel or wrap which she uses if she feels at all uncomfortable strolling naked.
Everyone is different but try telling her how great it feels walking naked until she wants to see what is so good about it.

i went to baording school from the age of 11 so you soon get used to being naked in front of others...never been bothered since...
my first time naked in front of others was afew years back now, at Acorns in Devon.
As soon as id booked in and got my tent pitch i was naked and felt such a feeling of freedom.
Had only been a secret home naturist prior to that but have now got used to the freedom of social naturism.

If you ignore showers following PE at school, then my first time was in my late teens during a game of drinks & dares with a mixed group of friends when, unexpectedly, the dares escalated dramatically and everyone ended up nude.
My first time nude on a beach was probably 15 years later; I had joined a group of work colleagues in Gran Canaria for a week. My flight was a few days later than the others and, after they had gone home, I tried going nude outdoors for the first time at Playa des Ingles. It was exhilarating and all the easier for being a stranger amongst strangers.

I agree...it just seemed easier at the time to go beyond the point of no return in an anonymous setting. With hind sight it seems a bit daft.

I had always wanted to try social nudity but could never find the courage to try it and being single didn't help as most clubs only wanted couples. For years I couldn't get it out of my mind so one day 11 years ago I just decided kill or cure. I got in my car drove to Pembrokshire, found Tything Barn drove straight in, paid and stripped off. I met a lovely couple who showed me around and I've been going ever since. It was just so easy in the end and also give me so much confidence in myself.
My first experience was in Germany. I went with a friend to a lake that was popular with the locals on sunny days. We had no idea there were going to be naturists there and at first thought we'ed stumbled upon a private event. It soon became clear that this was a public place and the majority seemed very comfortable nude. We decided to stay, and after about half an hour, I decided that "when in Rome" and took a nude swim in the lake. I felt quite exhilarated and free. My friend didn't join in but it was a great day and nowadays, a naturist beach (or preferably beaches) is always a and essential part of a holiday.
