Hi,
We are planning a 2-3 week naturist holiday, travelling from the UK to the South of France with a trailer tent.
Does anybody have any recommendations to maximise our naturist enjoyment by stopping at a couple of campsites along the way.

Many thanks in advance. 🙂

There is a brilliant campsite called Le Clos Barrat - France

A naturist campsite located in the southwest of France near Cahors, in the Lot region.

www.leclosbarrat.fr

We spent a few months there. Nearly 6 months in fact. If you do go just tell them guys at naturist365 sent you. We actually thought of buying the site but it was too small for us as we have horses.
You could always come and visit us in Portugal our site is set in over 50 acres and we only allow ten units at any one time.
If you want further information let us know

Chateau Guiton and l'Oliverie are convenient stop-offs not too far from the western autoroutes.
I have stayed at and can recommend both - they are both French owned and run and the proprietors speak excellent English.

Beware:
The first time we stopped at Chateau Guiton en route we didn't get any further.

Although I have not stayed at all of them I can heartily recommend any site in the Naturisme et Terroirs set of privately owned French sites.

As far as crossing the channel is concerned have you considered Brittany Ferries afternoon sailing Portsmouth to Caen? They offer you a free first night's camping close to the ferry port with this crossing.
We used it every year until our trailer-tent died on the autoroute. We would wake up early, shower and dress, get on the road and then breakfast at a café or service area en route.

Hi, we'd like to add another vote for Chateau Guiton. Stayed there in 2010 and it is lovely, very calm, quiet and the owners are great. Organised evening meals are a laugh!

We welcome everyone in our apartment in Vera Natura. We reduced the booking payment down to 30%, and we offer the rental on cancel any time terms now. We hope this will make the early booking easier for everyone who considers it.

Our recommendation is you travel to the Spanish South in Winter and Spring for exploration targets. The weather is not too hot in this time and good for moving around by foot or by bike throughout the day--while you must carefully plan cycling/hiking trips here if you go in Summer, as to avoid sunburns and overheating.

If you look for warm sea, then it's just otherwise: the best time is from the middle of June till the middle of October.

Sunbathing is good around the year here, just make sure you know well your skin ability and apply the protection when the sun is high. I had been talking with a girl in a rental receiption just yesterday, who keeps the aid box in her office, and she told me, there were many sunburns in Spring when the sun is already strong while the air is still cool, inspiring people to stay on the sun for longer time than it is healthy. The swimming is also possible around the year. While the sea temperature is maybe OK for devoted swimmers or after a gim in Winter, many, including young children, prefer the heated indoor pool for winter time.

For reservation please check our banner in my signature.

P.S. We would also be happy to know first hand from people who live in other naturist resorts, who are given ability to watch weather conditions and the people activity around the year, who can recommend to particular travel requirements. For example, we were looking at Fuerteventura, as there's a lot of trails for nudist hiking, but were told it might become crowded in hot season.

When we did the South of France last with our caravan we broke the journey with a couple of days at La Petite Brenne http://www.lapetitebrenne.com/ in the centre of France which is a really relaxed place and highly recommended.
Its almost exactly half way down to the med coast just off the A20 autoroute and not too far from the A71 / A75 which has long toll free sections and takes you over the Millau bridge too.
When we got to the south we ended up at Grande Cosse which was also excellent with direct naturist access to the beach.
Enjoy your planning and eventual holiday.

I  can reccomend Le Columbier it is in the south Vende region just outside St Hermine. I have been there four times and it gets better everytime I visit.
