Here is the beach I most like to use, an idyllic, quiet little cove, often with very few occupants, maybe because it is a bit of a walk, and something of a scramble down the pathway to the beach. Nontheless it is well worth the effort, for the peace and tranquility, water is good, but care must be taken not to swim out too far.

Looks like an ideal spot Don. How much of a walk is it and can the walk be a naked one? If it can thats brilliant, it would combine three great things about naturism. Exercise, Fresh Air & Relaxation all in one hit.

Well the route I choose is about a mile in total, and usually start getting rid of clothes for the pathway down from the top of the cliffs to the beach, same on the way back, but often stay nude for further, if I can

It would be a good idea to move down to your neck of the woods but I don't think Irene would go along with it. Anyway we wouldn't want to live to close to our friend 'Devon rob'

Aah, but Devon is very large county, and there are lots of miles between Rob, and me, and some great beaches and countryside.

Yes Don, there are lot's of miles between you & Rob. But the fact is there is a lot more between us & Rob, as it is we only see him a couple of times a year. I'm sure with far less miles we would see him a lot more. ::) ::) ::)

I may try anchoring off in the yacht - will have to look up charts to see what the water's like to leave her out and go ashore for a bit.
What luck, had Thursday off, and indecision should I walk on Exmoor,or relax on the beach?
Fortunately chose the latter and spent five hours on Wild Pear in unbroken sunshine, so hot I had to keep going into the sea to cool down, must have been the hottest day of the year here so far.
About a dozen other naturists also using the beach, including a holidaying couple from Scotland who couldn't believe their luck in finding this.
Thank goodness I took full advantage of the weather now that normal British summer climate has returned,but still something of a pleasure to walk out in the rain.

Hi Don im thinking of visiting wild pear cove in the near future for a look/see so i am familar with it come the summer(if it comes) but i cant find it on google earth or the path to it.Can you help with some directions thanks
