After having been a summer resident there for the last 30 years some might say we are biased and they are entitled to their opinions but after reading the previous posts regarding Euronat which did not show it in the best of light, why we do not know but there you go, we felt that we must redress the balance.
First of all on naturism - Euronat is a naturist site first and foremost but like any other site that we have visited, unless in a really warm climate there are those that are dressed early in the morning and in the evening, it really all depends, in the evening if we are going into the centre YES we would more than likely dress. - that in itself does not make us non naturists or clothes optional, its called been sensible.
As for the general cleanliness of the site, its very good, all of the toilet blocks are pristine, facilities throughout the site are good, nudity on the beach is compulsory (the odd exception may be teenagers and we all know why), its called growing up. The beach it two designated areas is also lifeguard patrolled.
The Centre Commercial will cater for most of your needs although it is a little bit more expensive than shopping in town (Lesparre or Soulac), the restaurant prices are comparable with outside dining, we would however accept that the likes of Beer prices are much higher that you would pay in the UK, but no more expensive that other locations outside the site. (why this is the case we do not know, but its a fact). One thing we would say is that evening entertainment in all of the restaurants is pretty poor and repetitive, but the french are not into that sort of thing.
The site now has two excellent swimming pools, one completely covered, one outdoor heated pool and in addition a smaller pool with chutes.
Euronat also has fully equipped Health Spa (Sauna, Steam Room, Salt Water Indoor Pool, Gym, Massage and Various Body Treatments) with a doctor in attendance most days, although expensive its comparable with UK prices for similar treatment.
Visitor facilities start with camping, ready erected tents, caravans and mobile homes for hire, studios and bungalows for hire. Prices vary depending upon the season but are comparable with other sites on the same standard in France.
The normal day for us there is breakfast (naked or dressed, depending upon the temperature), odd jobs and chores in the morning, lunch, then a cycle ride down to the beach, normally naked, then a walk along the beach naked, we do not lie on the beach, that's just not for us, but loads do. Then, been British it's back to the Mobile Home for a cup of tea, after that it wine time and evening meal, - another day has passed by in our Naturist world.
This is our take on Euronat, everyone will have there own opinion.

We really like Euronat finding it's attitude very relaxing. My wife has had major breast cancer surgery so quite understandably won't bear her upper half in public but nobody cars that she covers up while I'm completely naked all the time. The only restriction this places on us is the pools, the compulsory nudity rules us out, a real shame but is the same at any naturist resort so we have to live with that.
I particularly like being able to eat at the restaurants nude, nobody bats an eye lid.
I totally agree with everything that Mary-Gordon wrote. All of the facilities on the site are good, the restaurants are good not excellent but provide very acceptable food at fairly good prices considering, you could get better prices if you want to travel out but hey you would have to dress for that. Same goes for the shops. When we are there we don't very often go off the site.
The only slightly negative comment I would make is bikes. The site is large and bikes are a good idea but I think that the on site hire is very expensive. When we were last there we popped into a supermarket just outside Bordeaux and they were selling fold up bikes for only €69.99, the on site bike hire starts at €36 per week for an adult bike. So I would say if money is tight take your own bikes. We were lucky, the accommodation we rented had some bikes we could borrow, a bit old and rusty with flat tyres but I managed to coax 2 into action for our stay.

We stayed at Heliomonde last summer and going into the sauna we nearly did not notice that the lady we passed, sitting outside talking with a male friend, had had a breast removed.
On one of the naturist swimming sessions I attend, there was a woman who also had one of her breasts removed.
On both occasions no one reacted in a sensational manner, and the woman was addressed to in a normal, natural or should I say naturist manner.
A female friend who I meet on those swimming sessions visits the same French naturist camping every year. She told me that during the more than 30 years she goes there, one of the other regular visitors had to have her breasts removed, with some years between the first and second operation. She kept spending her holidays at that camping and found lots of moral support in the relaxed attitude of the other guests towards her physical appearance.
If only one social group should be regarding surgical impact on the body not to be something to be ashamed about, it should be the naturists. as respect and acceptance for one's own body and that of other's is one of the aspects of our lifestyle.

At Euronat we've noticed a couple of women who'd had a masectomy and who were naked - nobody bothered or stared and that's what's great about a place like Euronat - everyone's equal regardless of wealth or looks.
We love Euronat - didn't notice a thread with negative comments but it's a shame if there is one as everyone should be free to choose whether to dress or go naked and that's what you get with the relaxed atmosphere there, apart from the pools and beach where you must be naked which, again, we feel is a sensible rule.
We happliy chat with people dressed or undressed (both ways round) and like M-G above we dress if going into the centre in the evening (but we'll usually stay naked if we're self catering that evening until it gets chilly). It's like being on the beach in your cozzy and then smartening up in the evening to go out - it's just nice to do. To be honest we're not worried about whether we fit the label of naturist or not by doing this...
Will probably call into either Euronat or La Jenny (which we haven't tried yet) for a few days on our way down to Spain/Portugal in June.

I was there in June last year and loved every minute. Curiously I found that away from their chalets most people were dressed most of of the time. I never really understood why but up to them I suppose. It got chilly in the evenings but the days were pretty hot.
I'm not sure how yet, but I'm hoping to get back there this year too.

Got a feeling we may have spotted you from your directions when we were there before (2 years ago..?). There was an British couple in the region of the directions you have given which may have been you - usually lying on the loungers (and why not!), and we were in a rented chalet that year so walked past on our way to the centre/pool/beach. When we passed (you?) we did a reserved british nod of the heads to each other...

We love Euronat....
This will be our third summer heading to this beautiful region.
It is perfect for families, a safe and happy environment. Our girls are 4 & 5 and love the freedom an opportunity to ride their bikes all over.
M & G summed the place up really well regarding the centre, entertainment & shopping.
Last year they had also installed site-wide WiFi which allowed me to keep up to date with the world and my business on track whilst I was away....
Looking forward to packing the tent in the van again and heading over in summer....

Looking to finalise decision very shortly on where to go for this year's summer hols in June, and it looks to be coming down to a choice between Euronat and La Jenny. Haven't been to either but after a number of years at Cap d'Agde looking for somewhere a bit more 'wholesome' and true to naturist ideals. Had almost decided on Euronat, but the option to be able to play naked golf at La Jenny is very tempting....
I get the impression from reading reviews both here and elsewhere that nudity tends to be as much the exception rather than the rule in the evenings, but is one resort better than the other in this regard? I'm the kind of person that likes to take their clothes off on entering a resort and leaving them off for the duration (as long as the temperature is right). One of the things I dislike about Cap d'Agde is that you tend to feel like a bit of a freak if you are not dressed in the evening. Or are there other places in that part of the world that tend to be more 24/7 nudity?
