I'm not sure if i'm posting in the right place here, but here goes anyway.
I live in west sussex and I want to find some nice remote spots to take some naturist photos.
Does anyone know of any nice spots preferably in the chichester area or not too far away?

Thanks,
Matt

If you want really safe spots I'd suggest you use beaches where people expect to see naturists however be aware that other naturists will get very cagey if you start waving a camera around carelessly. Choose a quiet time and a spot with a back ground that will not include others, against a cliff or due for instance or ask someone else to take a few shots of you so that they will know what you are up to.

Other spots are never as safe but with care and a little effort you should be ble to find spots that are OK if you pick your time. I have pictures taken in a variety of fairly high traffic spots but by choosing the right time I have been able to avoid upsetting anyone.

Good luck and don't forget to let us know how you get on.

Have fun,

Ian.

You shouldn't have too much trouble finding a suitable location on and around the South Downs. However I would suggest some research with an O.S map or similar to try and identify likely areas. It would obviously make sense to try and avoid large areas of open downland, or anywhere adjacent to popular foot or bridle paths such as the South Downs Way, assuming that you intend spending sometime taking pictures in one place rather than just a quick snap.

Have you tried the stretches of empty coast either side of Selsey? It's very near you and the west beach in particular has a long stretch of pebble beach that naturists use, with some fields behind if you want a green backdrop! I did take a couple of shots in a wheatfield there, but seconds after I dressed I discovered I was near a coastal path...

On the other side, heading east, is a long spit of beach up to the mouth of Pagham Harbour. It's very quiet and beautiful, but there are plenty of long-range cameras and telescopes trained on Pagham Harbour itself - so stay on the coastal side of the spit! Otherwise try Fairlight near Hastings (bit of a drive I know) as there is almost a mile of totally deserted beach to the east of the naturist section, with cliffs and grassland.

Thanks for the great suggestions. The weather so far hasn't been on my side but fingers crossed for some sunshine soon. Once i've found the spot the fun bits going to be getting the right angles. Does anyone have any experience or tips in getting the right shot?

Here's a picture (assuming I click the right button) of the field at the back of the beach to the west of Selsey. I saw it in the evening sun when I was walking home and decided I had to strip again quickly and take a shot. But there is a coastal path tucked out of sight here... The beach itself is a long stretch of pebbles, quite stark but that can be quite good for naturist photography: body, stones and sea, very elemental.
