Just spent a great day at Swanage yesterday, very sunny and quite warm, and tried an experiment which seems to have worked so I will pass it on and hope that you might find it useful too.

I use a compact camera, Canon Ixus 860IS, for both still images and occasionally movies. However when I shoot movies outdoors there always seems to be some wind noise which spoils the playback. The microphone on my camera is a tiny hole on the top. I bought some foam earphone covers, in Clas Ohlson (£2.99 for 6) and put one over the mic held in place with a rubber band. Having just played back my movies from yesterday there is no noticeable wind noise but it was breezy when I shot them so it seems to have worked.

Even better I managed an hour on Studland beach in the afternoon too.

Another thing i find good to use as wind reducers for mic pickups on a camera is sheeps wool, roll it into a ball and works a treat.

I have never been to studland myself, is it nice there? I have been to berrow near weston super mare, but its unnoficial, and lots of Naked men just walking the dunes, rather than naturists if that makes sence

I have heard there is a beach near minehead, if anyone knows of it, i would be very appreciated

The only thing you need to ever wear is a smile
so lets see your smile 🙂
on facebook i have a group called Naturism for everyone, please come and join us for chats
