Just to let people know that Horsey Gap car park is now pay and display.  £1 per hour for the first 4 hours or £5 for all day.  It's cheaper to park at Winterton and walk from there. :'(

Bugger :(.

Might well stop goin there and stick to Holkham as the car park there is the same price, but at least the beach is official and, therefore, no need to feel the need to 'lurk'.

Also, what I tend to to do at Holkham is throw the bike in the back of the car, park at the Hall car park at only £2.50 for the day, then cycle to the beach! 8).

Thanks for the update DragonMan. You don't happen to know the cost for a motorbike do you? Was £1 last year, so hoping the same again. Another car park option is to use the car park in Waxham Sands campsite - literally only another 5 mins walk, and I think it's about £2 a day.

PARK At THE NELSON pub (just north of Horsey windmill) or follow the track right down to the gate nr the beach.
used to be able to take the car down there but to many bumps now not good for the exhaust and suspension.
cross the gap in the dunes and walk 2 rock groins down to be a safe distance from most of the family trippers

I find this unbelievable, it's not actually a 'car park' is it, it's not as though they've had to spend millions building something, it's just the flatish bit at the end of the track, NT inspired I suspect. As Norfolk and Good said if Waxham is only 2 quid why risk wrecking the cars suspension on the Horsey track to pay 5, shame though, spent endless days down there
