Since the weather is looking good for this weekend, I'm thinking of getting out somewhere. St.Osyth and Leysdown are fairly close but I know nothing about either.  I prefer quieter locations where I can be on my own if I want to. Any suggestions?

Well I decided to go to St.Osyth today and I had a really nice time! I found a nice comfortable spot close to the start of the beach and settled down. There were a few others on the beach, but we all kept to ourselves. Where I was there were no "meercats" as other reports have mentioned. Actually, I only saw a few people walking by and they all used the path behind the beach so we were all left to enjoy the sun.

Would I go there again? Yes! Parking is free. It's a bit of a hike along the beach to the naturist area so make sure you have dome decent footwear.

St Osyths is not as bad as some make out,the erosion of the road has kept the meercats away, and you can have a nice day there relaxing in the sun.I find midweek to be a good time to go there weather permitting.Glad you had a pleasant time ther Subboez.
As you say it is quite a walk to the naturist beach,
