I have used Shoreham Beach for about 10 years, although it's actually Aldrington. Not as crowded as Brighton, it's also well away from from the masses. It's shingle only at high tide but quite a large sandy area at low tide, also it doesn't shelve too steeply. Going west from Brighton take the slip road at Hove Lagoon & follow it around towards the sea, then keep going until you come across a row of large timber upright's. Tha naturist area is behind them. Shoreham Port Authority who own the land are aware of the naturism, & just turn a blind eye.

All the best,
Reg

I too can confirm that the Shoreham beach is great, just a shame it's the wrong side of Brighton for me so only go once or twice a year.
Anybody who tried Brighton and didn't enjoy will more than likely like Shoreham.

Quick note to anybody thinking of a trip to this beach!

PARKING ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Seems the lovely people at the port authority thought it would be nice to remove half the parking spaces for people using the beach there. As such busy times will make parking near impossible! So get in early or park in Portslade and walk in. There is a small P&D car park but again only small so probably full at busy times also.

Went at lunch time on Wed last week and had to sit waiting for somebody to leave, thus losing 15 mins of presious beach time. Got 40 mins of sunning myself then back to work. Frustrating!
