In a couple of weeks time we are going touring to North Wales. The wife wants to see Snowdon, so while we are in that area I thought I might try to visit Morfa Dyffryn beach, which is supposed to have a naturist good section.

As web site info is often years out of date, and notoriously unreliable, so does anyone have any recent info about this beach?

It's still where it always was and nothing has changed.  😮

I have been to this beach and what a wonderful beach it is, I highly recommend you go visit and see this beach for yourself, fabuuuuuuuuuuuuuulous.

I went last year and I am going again in August, I do hope the weather is kind.

Thanks for the comments.
Now all I have to do is convince the wife...

The beach is a couple of miles long and plenty of room to choose clothes optional at the edges of the naturist area until or unless your wife feels comfortable herself.
It is quite common to see couples where only one of them appears to have chosen to sunbathe and swim without clothes.
A very good place to go when starting, I would suggest the southern approach as most of the single men seem to favour the northern end.

Just hope the weather improves for you both.

Ok thanks, I will bear that in mind. The wife does not usually mind me leaving her sunbathing at a "normal" part of a beach whilst I visit a naturist part. She will occasionally sunbath topless, so an adjacent 'clothing optional' part would be good.

Of course, the weather so far this month makes me think this planning may all be quite academic  🙁

Let me clarify my previous reply. The whole of the Naturist section of the beach is clothes optional and you will find couples and families where some of them are undressed while other may be fully clothed, topless, full swimsuits or struggling to change while wrapped in a towel while surrounded by naked people, I know it sounds crazy.

It’s a live and let live situation where people can dress/undress to suit themselves, the centre of the naturist section has more naked people with a change to more partially dressed at each end, so unless your wife objects to seeing naked bodies she should not have a problem.

If you are touring with a tent or caravan/motor home, you might consider breaking your long journey at the Wrekin Club, information below.
I hope the weather improves for you

Just a quick update.
We went to North Wales for a few days last week, and visited Morfa Dyffryn beach on Thursday. The weather was not too good with just hazy sun, but it was warm. We both had a wonderful time on this fantastic beach. Quiet a few people there, and NOT just all old men either  🙂

This was first time my wife had been naked in public!
I think I may have a convert...  😉

Pleased to hear that you enjoyed the trip to Dyffryn beach and especially that your wife was happy to be there, we are enjoying a good sunny week at the club, quite a bonus for this year

If I was to travel by train, which station would I travel to? Or is it far from the beaten track? I'd be coming from Lancashire. Any help appreciated. 🙂

Gordy, there is a Railway Station at Dyffryn Ardudwy - the nearest one to Morfa Dyffryn - but it is a request stop!!!! The nearest main station is at Barmouth but you would need transport from there.
