And the same would go if they take photos of us, but it never seems to work out that way. People were falling over themselves to take photos of that nude swimmer in the Usk the other day who needed rescuing, but these same people were saying he was 'exposing himself' and an 'offence to public decency'. Well don't take blasted photos then! This is why I was also saying about a tightening of the rules/laws so it *could* be properly policed. Also we could pull together a bit when we're at areas where it's not naturist only (such as a sun club), I know it's a can of worms and very hard to enforce but that's kind of my point in the first place. All these issues arrive because the law is still Victorian in this regard and pussyfoots around the issues of being nude even in designated areas. Not sure how it could be misrepresenting or become a tit for tat, they're the ones being peeping Toms be definition if they're clothed in a naturist area and using things like binoculars and cameras without permission of the people there? A clothed friend of mine was taking photos of urban landscapes and got stopped by police in case he'd taken photos of kids (and there were no kids about, he was down at the docks in Grimsby) so why is there such lassitude? It can only be because the subjects are nude. Plus the gallery could be private except for checked site members with a disclaimer. It's a knotty problem and no mistake though!

OK, we’re getting off topic here with the rogues gallery. My original post was an abridged (believe me there was more) account of our recent experience and was intended to warn any genuine naturists using the beach of ‘Mr White Hat’ et al.

I was at Morfa Dyffryn on Saturday and saw someone who I think may have been the Mr White Hat from the original post.  It was just when I arrived and the beach was still fairly quiet but he seemed to insist on walking very close by the other people on the beach.  I'm talking only about 3-4ft, which in my opinion was both invasive and unnecessary.  When we came past me, we exchanged polite 'Hello's and that was it.  He eventually disappeared into the dunes and that was the last I saw of him.

It wasn't the same 'White Hat' I saw last summer. Not sure if it was the guy from the original post.  It is possible that I've mentally branded all men in white hats as suspicious!  :-

I went to our local naturist beach yesterday, and suddenly saw a man "meerkating" in the dunes wearing a large white hat!
Made me smile and think "he's a long way from home". Fortunately, he soon walked onto the beach wearing ONLY the white hat
;D

Both the 'White Hats' I've seen were otherwise naked (apart from the hat of course!).  I'd guess from his tan, the guy yesterday was also a regular visitor.  To be honest he wasn't really creepy and gave a perfectly polite 'Hello'.  Just his insistence on walking by so close annoyed me.  It would have annoyed me equally if we'd been on a textile beach.

At Morfa Dyffryn we fortunately don't get many of the 'textile patrolling males'.  Most of the textiles we get are families and dog-walkers just passing through, which is fair enough.

Used to see a 'textile patrolling male'  at Saunton in the late '90's, early milllenium. Used to walk the top of the foredunes of the North & North- Central sections of the dunes when I used a second line dune, now much further south haven't had this problem yet.

I was at Morfa in Aug 12 - I am sure the white hat man was there!  Standing naked except for his white hat, on top of the dunes 'searching'

made me laugh seeing his antics - what a wally!

Although I'm not a Morfa visitor, I would enjoy an illustrated "White Hat" topic if anybody feels able to start it.

I don't get to worked up about anything like that really.  I feel I'm adult enough to deal with it and have asked what the hell the guys is looking at.  However, perhaps the thing to do is what a girl friend of mine once did.  While this guy was off peeking at the ladies, she ran over to where he had his spot and picked up his clothes and buried them in the sand.....frantic search took place later!
