I am currently working in Bangor and was told this afternoon of a beach where the person relating the story said he found a lot of nudists using the beach. From the directions he gave me its down a lane off the A55. The lane is only about half to three quarters of a mile long and terminates in a small car park.
Having looked on google maps and from the directions given it must be at a place signposted Abergwyngregyn.

I know I live in North Wales but I have never heard of this one. Does any of you good folk on here have any knowledge about such a beach????????? ???

We had a look on Google too. And are none the wiser! Tried to do a close up on the signs to try and find a name but it was too blurred. Looks pretty secluded in places especially by the wooded bit though. Next time we're in the area we might have a little drive down Station Road (I believe that was the name of the road) and check it out!

I left Bangor early this afternoo so thought I would investigate this beach a little further. The area is a nature reserve and there were a few cars in the car park as it was a glorious afternoon. I walked down the path going east towards the woods. The woods themselves look great and there is a good path to, through and from the wooded area. I must have walked just over half a mile and the only person I saw was a chap walking his dogs.
There are plenty of nooks and crannies where nude sun bathing would be possible, even in the woods. There is no chance of bathing as the beach is rocky and very shallow. At low tide you could near enough walk to Anglesey.
When I returned to the car park there were two ladies there and I asked if they were local and if they knew if naturists used the beach. They were local ish ( within 6 or 7 miles ) and said that they had never heard of naturists using the beach but as I have commented they said there were a lot of places where you could sun bathe nude. They did sat that the area is used by a lot of bird watchers with binoculars so you could be spotted.
May give it a try next summer if we have one and I might go back to Talacker ( possibly spelt that wrong ) which is off the coast road between Mostyn and Prestatyn. Big caravan parks there but you can park on the beach. When I first moved up here I have been nude sunning in the dunes there. Turn left at the light house and walk about half a mile and climb in to the dunes. I have seen quite a few nudes there in the past but I havn't been there in years so I don't know the current situation.

That was the impression we got from Google too, and it sounds like you had a lovely afternoon 🙂 And yes, Talacre apparently had a non official nudist area, but I've heard that not many people go now as the holiday camp(s) have sort of expanded and lots of kids about etc. I went there clothed a few years back with some friends and it's VERY holiday camp-ish,but did seem to be places that were more secluded if you were prepared to walk a while 🙂

We've never heard of the 'beach' at Aber being used for naturist activities.  We've only been there birdwatching in winter but it's never seemed a likely place to us, always dog walkers or other birders about.  Probably your best bet is to go across the bridge and down to Newborough.
