The photo from which I have taken my avatar was taken using a 10 second self-timer. I had been out on a naked ramble in some woodland along one edge of which runs a canal. As I had my camera with me I thought it would be a good idea to set it up on fence running alongside and take a photo of myself on the towpath. I duly did this and went back to pose. When I turned round to face the camera there was a jogger coming towards me along the towpath. I instinctively walked quickly to grab the camera and get away and the shutter went off just before I got to it. I think perhaps this is the reason that photo looks much more natural (unposed) then any others I have tried to take.

I've been a photographer since I was ten years old when I developed my first film and made my first darkroom print. I still use film because artistically it is far superior to digital and far and away prefer monochrome for its inherent beauty. I still do all of my own processing and printing both traditionally and digitally as scanned negs and digital prints can be quite stunning. All of what I do is artistic and I have been fortunate enough to photograph some beautiful naked and semi naked people over the years. Long may it carry on. My passion for photography is just as good as it was when I was ten. Very best wishes all.

Photo's: No
But I did do some posing for sketches, which in turn led to a woodcarving.

In my non-artistic eye, the  woodcarving (I only saw the photo's of it) looked fine - so fine, in fact, that they looked nothing like me.

The Sketcher/carver sought his grave many years ago, but I recall two of the finished carvings at our Sketch meeting. One was of a Lady Naked but carrying a bright red handbag, Red Shoes and Red finger nails and lips - which was to represent the skimpy evening attire of the modern Miss? The other was of a pop singer depicted with two noses and one eye - the site implied by a pop singer shaking his head violently from side to side (it looks better than it sounds). All in beautifully polished hardwood.  The  Lady's Red Paint shone out well

I enjoy being nude and happy to pose alone or in a group, I have no problems about it at all

As a trained photographer, I would have no problem posing for another photographer, even though I think I look terrible in pictures and try to avoid being photographed. The point about trust is an important one though. I too would feel worried that my pictures could be distributed without my knowledge. The idea about other people taking you picture with your own camera and vice versa sounds a good one, if only to give each other an idea what other equipment is like to use. Perhaps a NC photographic session might be in order

Good idea Wombat, we have often said either one of us or both would be happy to pose but yes the trust and respect thing is important, other than that we don't mind where or with whom... provided they don't sell them on!!

Hi,
I would be more than willing to pose for anyone who wants to practice their picture taking skills. Would be nice if we could maybe get a group together to all take and pose for each other. But anyone interested in photographing a 47yo slightly overweight man, let me know.

Well I'm discovering new things about Naturism on every visit to the forum, since signing up yesterday. By coincidence I did some self pictures this morning...  Didn't realise it was popular part of naturism...  I'm feeling more "normal" with every bit of info I've learned here 🙂 ....

Anyway, as a keen photographer I guess they go together.....  This morning brilliant sunshine was streaming in through the bedroom window, so tried to do some "arty" contrasty shots from different angles..... plus tried some close up abstract shots, but that's difficult to get in the picture accurately.... Needs a lot of cropping in photoshop afterwards....
Some seemed to come out ok...... though I think for male nudes turning them to Black&White works better....  work with texture and light, leave the soft light and shape to female nude work.

Girlfriend has said for a few years now she would like some arty pictures of us together for the bedroom wall ... but we haven't got around to it.....(makes excuse she has put on weight!).....  Think I'll have to reminder her again  ;D

I was going to pose for Spencer Tunic in Cambrigeshire this year but couldn't make the date that he was doing the photo shoot so I will make sure I'm available next year.
I don't know if any of you are all familiar with his work but some of his photos are brilliant and they are all a work of art and I can't wait to be part of one, it's quite expensive to take part as you have to pay about £200 but you do get a limited print of the finshed photo, I think it's worth every penny. well that was this years price anyway.
I think some of the attraction is that most of the people who pose for him are not naturists and have never been naked with strangers before, the atmosphere must be buzzing with so many people feeling liberated for the first time and to know that you  will be part of a piece of art is very appealing to me, his photographs can have anything from one subject to 10,000 so depending on how many he requires for the photo shoot the places can be limited but he does take photos all over the world.
So if you want to pose for a famous artist and be part of his work look up Spencer Tunic on the net.

Nudity only becomes an issue if an issue is made of it

We did some posing for a professional photographer for a project he was doing for a University on using Victorian Photo processing techniques.  We really liked the results.  He has given us persmission to use the thumbnail proofs, so have posted a few in the Gallery.  Let us know what you think of them.  We enjoyed the experience and would do it again in the right circumstances.

I start taking pictures of myself with undies only and naked since I was 16 I guess, however I never let anybody else take picture of me, I think I like to have my own time to try and experiment poses and lighting.

I would love to pose for someone else. Most of my photos are self-timer ones and after a while it does get quite difficult to think up new ideas.
