I am in the Tavistock area until March 20 2013, and am very keen to do a naturist walk in this area on the west side of Dartmoor.
If anyone has any knowledge of a suitable walk and or would like to join me , I would be very grateful.
If anyone would like to walk but who has no knowledge of the area, I do have an explorer map and would be willing to meet first to decide on a route.
It seems such a shame to be in such a suitable area and not to make the most of it.
I am happy to walk early or late in the day if that is more appropriate.
Keep in touch. I will be looking to go on walks on the hills of the southwest from early March onwards. I usually walk Exmoor but would welcome the chance to do a route on Dartmoor. Any time on a weekday is best but approx 10-4 (up to 8 miles) would suit. Simon

I live a long way from Datmoor and have only had one walk there. This was to High Willhays and Yes Tor in good weather on a midweek day so I had expected them to be too busy for nude walking. However I ended up doing nearly all of the walk nude. 🙂
The hills all around looked excellent for relaxed nude walks so I think this is an excellent area. I have done several walks on Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor looks even more suitable.
I notice that you are going to be there until March and so some shelter may be essential. In this respect there are many suitable routes to both east and west of High Willhays and Yes Tor.

Search for Yes Tor. It is the area to the south of Oakhampton.
Remember to check that the Army are not using the area before travelling.

This is a lovely little webapp that has helped me on numerous walks. I recommend it. The only caveat is that the number of OS tile views is limited each day so best avoid late evenings else you'll have to make do with viewing the publically released 1920s maps which...erm...aren't quite as good...lol
Otherwise it has OS, Lat Long coords, lots of side-by-side options and... well... go nuts!... 8)

Slightly ashamed never to have hiked naked on the moor despite living in Plymouth! Rather erratically at home, and rarely(not never...) during the week. I would be very happy to join any party going, and would be happy to help provide transport, for instance.
