we have been to Charco del Palo, 26 or 27 times , we forget. Where are you staying in Charco ? Will you be hiring a car at all ? Also what time of the year ?

It must a good place to go, going on the amount of times you have been.
I'm going in March to Reyes Apartment. Not hiring a car.

I don't know Reyes apartment , but Charco del Palo isn't a huge village , in fact you can walk the full length of the village , along the coast or by the roadways , in a good 10 mins .Around the shopping complex, actually a small supermarket, and a couple of other shops, is Rheiners Bar , bar/restaurant . Close by is La Tunera and the Tropical Garden , which are other bar/restaurants.There is another in the Obona complex, but we have never been there . We were there the end of November and the night club bar was open just 2 nights ,it may or not be open anymore as it wasn't well frequented .
You say you are not hiring a car , the only way you can get to the village is  by taxi from the airport , as public transport doesn't go Charco del Palo, it is also 3 or 4 kilometres from Mala and which is  the main south/ north road.
There are 2 sea pools , 1 near the Obona complex ( north end of the village) and another in front of Las Piteras apartments (south end of the village) . Nudity is ok all over the village , except the shops, and also Rheiner has a lunchtime naturist terrace . During the evening , you get dressed to go out to the restaurant  , as it can turn cool on the way back to the apartment .
If the weather is good , and we have had nice weather in March, you can walk naturist to the south of the village along the cliff for about 40 mins until you reach the outskirts of the next village . Going north , maybe 2 1/2 hours up to Arrieta the village to the north of Charco. I suggest you wear good walking sandals or trainers and not "flip/flops" .
So you now know where the restaurants are , the way to get to Charco del Palo , and what there is to do there .
Do hope you get lovely sunny clear skies and really warm days .

J & D

ps , if you do decide to rent a car , we use Auto Reisen , very good value and nice cars , and also in the airport entrance

It is very hard to describe the inner enjoyment of being naked .

Wow that's very helpful Julie n Dick, thank you both very much, really appreciate it.
The friend I'm going with who has been to Lanzarote before, but not Charco. Says the roads are crazy, hence not hiring a car. But Charco sounds a very contained , catered for village.
I have been going to Vera Playa for the last 5 years, that's brilliant hope it lives up to that. But at the end of the day, if it's warm and sunny. I'm happy and content.

We are regulars there too and have been going for many years. We stay in rented private villas in the Obana part of the village and there is a lot of choice of villas and appartments there to suit all budgets.
They also have a nice cafe bar, as mentioned by JulieDick, with special home cooked meals with an Austrian bent some evenings. The cake and coffee there during the day are delicious.

The place is peace itself and you can be as naked as much or as little as you like and no one takes any notice, great for couples where one partner is not always confident to go naked and the other is.
As mentioned the cliff walks are excellent and one can perambulate the village naked without anyone turning an eyeball.

Im not sure about not having transport as there are bars and other natural attractions to be enjoyed from time to time including the Sunday market at Costa Tegiuse which is a great way to break up the day.

Car hire on the island is very inexpensive and the freedom is priceless

Have a great time

I also agree that car hire is highly desirable. The roads are fine, in good condition and mostly very quiet. There are a few twisty mountain roads but non of these have to be used to get to Charco. They are wide and safe anyway.
The only awkward thing is it gets VERY dark which can be hard if you arrive in the evening. If you do, just slow down. Charco is not far and you will only add 5 mins.

Why dont we have a NC "get together at Charco as we have noticed a gradual take over of the place by our Northern Europe brothers and sisters in recent years?  :police:
