A good friend of mine and myself are off to enjoy some sunshine in a couple of months on the Costa Del Sol.

We have been looking into the different naturist beaches along that coastline. There seems to be a few of them.

Have any of you visited any of them & what did you think?

Don't bother with the great Spanish hot sunshine and wonderfrul beaches, go to Nudefest in Cornwall in July instead, it will be much more fun 🙂 lol

Maybe you and your friend could go to both

Nudity only becomes an issue if an issue is made of it

Cantarrijan is theoretically in the Costa Tropical but that is nice with a great bar as well. You won't get there without a car though. So we spent most days at Playa del Muerto just out of Almunecar. Pebbly with jellyfish in the sea so didn't go in much but fine for purpose. Would like to give you info on more widely used beaches on that coast but I can't.

Funlady ... it all depends if you turn left or right from Malaga Airport 🙂

If Turn right.....

Benalmedena ... Colin can tell you all about that one.
Costa Natura beach.  0.6km, bit of sand, and fine pebble but otherwise good. Handy beach kiosk. You can also buy day pass for the CN complex with restaurant and loo's!.  About 2 miles West of Estepona .. come back if you want more detail.

Thank you....We will be staying in between Benalmadena and Estepona so we would be able to try both.

I've tried finding out information on both those mentioned and if you have any further information I'd be grateful to know more.

Thanks

I was lucky enough to spend a few days on the Costa Del Sol in November and I can certainly recommend Benalnatura Beach. It's a lovely little cove - the only downside I can see is that due to its limited size I can imagine it getting rather busy at the height of Summer.Other than that I found a good mix of people there - single men, couples (British and Spanish) and even a few single women who were able to enjoy the beach without being bothered, which is sadly not always the case in this country.Best of all it has its own bar where you'll only be served if you're naked - that's my kind of dress code.

Whilst in the area I also used Guadalmar Beach which I reached by walking along the beach from Torremolinos. This afforded a far less pleasant experience. It adjoins a golf course so lacks privacy, and is also quite noisy being situated at the end of the runway for planes leaving Malaga Airport.Worst of all, there was a steady parade of guys walking along the beach clearly intent on pursuing activities that couldn't be described as genuinely naturist! All in all,as naturist beaches go it's better than nothing, but not much better.

We will try out Benalnatura. Is it hard to find?  We are going in May. Do you know if there is any parking near by?

I personally got to Benalnatura by catching the train to Torremuelle and then taking a 20 minute walk, but it seems quite straightforward to reach by car as it's just off the main road between Malaga and Fuengirola and is signposted when you're near. There didn't seem to be a car park there, but there did appear to be ample room to park by the side of the road at the top of the flight of stairs you have to descend to reach the beach.

we used one near torre del mar a few years ago ... its mallaga side of torre. first on the left after crossing the river bridge.. theres a naturist caravan site with a gurt sign up... you can use their secure carpark.. think it was a euro for the day...just leave everything you dont need in the car and wander off to the beach... the campsite run a cafe on the beach aswell.

Heading to Spain later this year, will enjoy checking out the beaches. Benalnatura certainly sounds delightful. Loving the naked dress code of the bar area.

I agree...if you are naked on the beach...why would you dress to go to the bar  ;D

Only accessory will be a sun hat!

We went to Cabopino and found it to be very Meerkat intensive - they all turned out to be British guys too!

All for British exports but this is not one i'm too keen on, though a cynic might think that if the meerkats/ exhibitionists are going abroad they can't be causing annoyance in Blighty.

I can reinforce the good comments about Benalnatura.  Was there last year in September and it was a very friendly place.  Parking on the side streets above the steps was easy, but you have to look out for the sign to get off of the dual carriageway, as it isn't all that clear.
