I have noticed that there have been a few posts on here about Fraisthorpe but would like to add that Fraisthorpe is a fabulous place to go sunbathing provided you are sensible. One point is that there are no dunes here so you are quite exposed to people out walking and passing by. I guess that discretion is called for quite a lot whilst sunbathing here. One or two people have noted that it is better to keep close to the low cliffs that are here and that is definitely what I have found. It keeps away unwanted guests.

This beach is only about forty five minutes from me and is my nearest beach apart from Cayton Bay so I love to use it during the summer but my fave places are in Lincolnshire where things are much more remote.

I agree about Fraisethorpe. Lovely place but quite busy with non nudists, in fact when I visited I was the only person naked so to keep safe I kept covering up and couldn't relax at all. I also have to agree about Lincs. North Cotes and Fraisethorpe are fantastic.

I have to be honest here and say that North Cotes is a fab place to sunbathe. If you walk past the old airfield there is usually no one around so it is really peaceful. Another good place is Donna Nook just a few miles south of North Cotes. In fact, there are few places in Lincolnshire where you can't sunbathe in peace and quiet. Donna Nook is really good if you walk to the north towards a place called Grainthorpe Haven where the beck runs out to the sea. It's all a fantastic place to be in the summer for sunbathing.

Ive heard that Fraisthorpe used to be popular but there seems to be a lot of clothed dog walkers . Further down the coast is Easington in read that was used on this forum earlier .
Any thoughts ?

Although I haven't lived in Yorkshire for over 25 years, my childhood seaside trips were always to Spurn Point which seemed more exotic than my friends outings to Brid and Scarborough. It was always quiet out there, often a hundred yards or so between families on the beach.

It's a long stretch of coastline from Spurn up to Bridlington, I reckon there must be plenty of places to go naked as long as you're away from the caravan sites and use a windbreak for privacy.

What is driving access like for Donna Nook? I'd like to give that location a try.

Donna Nook is so easy to get to. You drive to North Somercoates and follow the signs for RAF Donna Nook or 'To the beach'. You then continue down the road to the car park and walk from there to the NORTH. There are a few places where you can go nude but the place is so busy with walkers and dog walkers it is not the best. Theddlethorpe is much better as is Horseshoe Point. Donna Nook is OK during the week.
