Kyloe and GG have kindly given me permission to paint a portrait of GG, copying a photograph from one of thier albums, they have also kindly given me permission to upload the paintings progress in the canvas of life.
Any comments, advice or opinions are welcome.
This is when I first sketched the painting.

I made some slight alterations to the drawing before starting to paint.
As you can see, I have now started to paint the sky, I am waiting for the paint to dry a little as it is oil paint, then I will add some more shades of blue along with more cloud, then I will start painting the sea.

I done some more to the painting today 27/12/12 I put the date as yes, I forgot to set the date on the camera again.
The sky is finished now and I have started painting the sea, I have used three colours on the sea so far, firstly I painted a pale blue and then scraped the access paint off, leaving a base colour, then I painted over the top with a darker blue using a fan brush, I then painted over the top again with white, again using the fan brush, I then scraped over the paint and removed the access paint leaving the the sea the colour blue which it is now and with the look of the sun reflecting off of the water.

That is exactly why I choose this picture from all of the rest in the album, when I continue painting it next I will start painting GG and hopefully she will stand out as it will make the painting. I've been busy lately but I need to crack on with it as I intend to drop it off in July when I go to Nudefest.

I have added some more colour to the sea and started painting the sand, I have used three different colours on the sand so far, the next step will be to add some more shading and the black specs etc.

Thanks 🙂 and lol, I'm leaving the best bit until last so that when I paint GG it will stand out even more and be the main focus of the painting............well hopefully anyway 🙂
