When I lived in Sydney I spent many beautiful days at Little Cowong Beach. It was beautiful, great location and fantastic views. Sadly I believe the local council have cracked down and are trying to prevent people enjoying the beach.
I also used to go to Lady Bay, again a beautiful location and great views of the city. Unlike Little Cowong this beach can get very busy and there is a walk way above the beach where you can get tourists looking down, but to be honest I was there to be naked and enjoy the beach and sun so that didnt bother me. On busy weekend days a small boat would pull up to the beach selling ice creams, the guy selling the ice creams was also a nudist. All round a great experience. I look forward to getting back there soon.

I don't mind and haven't got a problem with whoever sees me naked, it's who minds or has a problem seeing me naked that is the problem.

If only society could just accept nudity as perfectly natural and normal like some other europeon countries, then there would be far less issues in society.

Nudity only becomes an issue if an issue is made of it

Little Gongwong has been closed as a nude beach now for nearly 6 years.  Its a beach we have not visited sadly.

We were in OZ for a number of weeks early 2012 at both Noosa Heads and Sydney, Coogee Bay, and found nothing naturist wise which was very dissappointing bearing in mind we were from the sun starved UK.

Is naturism in its early years out there or were we not looking in the cright places.

We may visit again as we have non naturist friends there.

We are a happily married family couple with lots of things going on in our lives. We both enjoy naturism but my wife likes the temperatures to be more comfortable than me which restricts UK action

DP,
There are at least 2 clothing optional beaches in Sydney Harbour that I am aware of.  Just 68 kilometres from the centre of Sydney is my club, Kiata ( www.kiatacc.com ) that welcomes visitors and there are several more clubs around Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong.

This site may well be of help also for the Sydney area http://sydneynudistclubs.weebly.com/

Hope to see you at Kiata some time DP

When in OZ in 2003, went past Lady Jane Beach but weather wasn't that inviting unfortunately. :-[
But a few days later went further north and found Banana Beach near coff's harbour which was really good, 🙂 then further north again was Byron Bay,although never got to the naturist section here :-[

Keep On Smiling:)

I absolutely agree, I don't mind either, but sometimes you could get a couple of coach loads of tourists walking past and looking down. They should have come and joined us they would have enjoyed it. 🙂

I been looking at the free beach website and saw what has happened at little Cowong beach. Its sad, it was a lovely beach and great people there who wanted to enjoy the sun and sea and be nude. I don't see how it could have offended people as it was away from the textile beach so if there were families that did not want to see naked people on the beach then they couldn't as you had to walk around a rocky outcrop. Hopefully the free beach guys can lobby the local government to change their mind.

My wife and I are planning to move back to Oz later this year. Looking forward to getting back to some warm weather and the beaches. Might even join a local club.
