SOme of my favourite beaches are north and south of La Palmyre on teh wesy coast of France.
South towards St Palais-sur-mer is Grande Cotte beach, wide and flat, with dunes and pine forest behind and several beach bars. Splendid soft sand and nice adventurous rollers.
North past the lighthouse is La Beauvoir beach. There's a cafe-style caravan in the carpark and about a kilometre walk to the actual beach, through pine forest and over dunes. Turn left fro teh textile part, but turn right for almost 14 kilometres of wide sandy naturist beach, also backed by dunes and forest. No refreshments or toliets available, but, for a heavenly beach experience I have yet to find anywhere to rival this.
Until 4 years ago we had a mobile home in Les Mathes and loved visiting the vast Cote Sauvage Beaches where nude bathing is the norm. In fact had quite a shock one day when walking along the beach bumped into our next door site neighbours - luckily also nude! No-one batted an eyelid.
Will have to return to this area again soon!
I agree that the beach between La Palmyre and St Palais is fabulous. Many years ago when our 3 daughters were little we went camping in St Palais and visited that beach with the kids nearly every day - in fact I think this was the first and only time that we were all nude on a beach together as a family. We never discovered the one to the other side of La Palmyre that you mention so if I ever go back to that area I'll look for it.

You drive north out of La Palmyre on the coast road, you go past the lighthouse car park and it's about 8kms from the town, there is a large carpark in the trees on the left,. Alternatively, there is a lot of road parking along that road and paths through the woods. Remember to take all your stuff with you, though, as there are no refreshments once you leave the car park. Also, if you don't get there until late morning, you have to park quite a way from the beach path
