Did anything get 'resolved' re the Holkham protest?  Would hate this beach to close - it's fantastic.  I can understand their being problems with the 'dune' types, but most of the other naturisits I saw were nearer the sea (well awtay from the dunes).

Besides, Holkham's so massive, there must be space for everyone?  I bet the people who go the the 'clothed' section nearer the carpark don't even know there's a naturist bit.

Members of BN had the feedback on this several weeks ago.  🙂

It was all good news. The owners were supportive of responsible naturism and backed the BN beach day. 🙂

But then those not wanting to support BN will no doub't remain critical that BN never does anything for them. >:( So curious why they want to know.  ::)

First visit to Holkham yesterday. A bit cool but nice and sheltered in the dunes. We only saw one other couple on the whole beach. A lovely peaceful afternoon in a lovely part of the country.

Early in June I'm going to be around this area. Any advice for a single man with very pale skin (damn that Irish ancestry!). I like to swim so was planning on going down to near the water with a windbreak & swim or lie down reading a book I'm no threat to anyone but will I look weird as it sounds like most people stay a way back from the water. I like to be close coz as I'm on my own I can keep an eye on my stuff while swimming. To be honest, it's not very relaxing for me thinking others could be treating me with suspicion.

I was there on Monday.  There were about 20 people on the beach.

Felt confident enough to leave my stuff and wander the 100 miles to the sea, (ok I'm exaggerating!).  Other couples and singles also left their stuff whilst wandering down to the water.

There was also people closer to the water.

Saw some furtive looking guys and a couple in the dunes that looked as if some sexual goings on were about to commence as I left, but otherwise I was only pestered by some small black flies!

If you are there on a Monday I may be there myself.

Enjoy

Kev

I trust naturists on a beach, they have no where to hide my wallet after all! But if I'm by the shoreline are there dog walkers who come by who may think that being positioned there i'm "displaying" to them?

It's likely to be a Wednesday I'm there but I'll sort myself out nearer the time when I've got the weather and tide forecasts to hand!

The naturist beach area is well marked and pretty much known about generally, so walkers are aware that they will encounter us in that area.

I certainly found that no one on the beach took any notice, clothed or otherwise.

This is a stunning beach, so lucky to have it as my local beach even if it is a hour and a half's drive away. Well worth the drive though!

We're hoping to make our first trip to Holkham at the weekend as we've heard alot about it.I was born along the coast but was moved away very soon after so this part of Norfolk is new to me.

I'm looking forward to visiting Holkham as the pictures I've seen and the reviews I've read sound fantastic!

Was at Holkham today. Glorious. Loads of  people there; singles, couples and familes. At one point I was walking down to the sea and two young girls, a boy and a dog were coming the other way. The dog seemed to take a dislike to me (unusual as I'm a bit of a dog person 🙁 ), but the girls were very pleasant and friendly. I think they were worried I'd be bothered by the dog. What was interesting was that they were completely nude, as was I, but that really didn't matter. We were all totally relaxed and had a good chat for 5 mins or so. The innocence of youth.
