We have always been quite lucky in the fact that our garden is not overlooked really, so going nude there was quite relaxing. I had taken the dog out for his walk in the forest, but decided I would try a new area, somewhere, where he could get new smells from. The day was warm, and so shorts and a t shirt were not out of place. Having left the car, I had walked for about 10 mins, following the forest path that lead away from the road. This part of the forest is not frequented much by visitors, as its away from the usual tourist attractions, so even the dog was off the lead trying to find the odd rabbit. I continued through the forest when I eventually came up to a clearing. The clearing was prob about half a acre, and on the far side was a couple sunbathing naked. I carried on past, they did not seem to mind that I there so it sort of made it completely natural. I wondered what it would be like to walk naked, so with the thought  that if  anyone was going to come up this path would prob meet the other couple first, I took off my shorts and t shirt. Wow what a sense of freedom !! It was absolutely fantastic and felt so liberating. This first walk, I must admit, kept me looking round in all directions in case anyone came out from the trees somewhere - but since then I have become far more relaxed about it, and boy what a way to unwind at the end of the day

Your walk does sound delightful. You are a braver man than me.

While I and just about any other naturist would say that you are not doing anything wrong the law in this area is far from clear-cut as numerous articles and posts on the BN web-site would show. A lone male in particular is regarded with suspicion and liable for arrest or cautioning. Even though simple nudity is not an offence the time taken for the police to discover no offence has been committed and there is no case to answer takes, by all accounts, a considerable amount of time and must cause deep distress to the innocent naturist.

There is nothing more relaxing and natural than to be naked in the woods. Being clothes free and so close to nature is the most invigorating and stress relieving experience I've ever had. It just feels totally wrong and out of place to be wearing clothing when you are in such natural surroundings. It is an experience that is really rather difficult to describe but once you have been naked in the woods you begin to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the environment with all your senses. After the first experience of being naked in the woods, it feels quite rude and disrespectful to visit Mother Nature dressed ant other way. Really the only way to fully appreciate what must be one of the most wonderful pleasures in this world is to do exactly as you did, go into the woods and shed the clothes. Be naturally beautiful within your naturally beautiful surroundings and just soak up the natural energy.

Hi,

i was brave for the first time a few years ago in my garden. A bit of nude sunbathing was all, so thats where it all began. When ever i get the chance i look for the opportunity to bare all. Be it walking in the woods or just taking a drive.

Just looking to spread my wings a bit now and look for other people of same mindset.

If thats you, then get in touch.

Thanks
Matt

Mattwales40,

There are loads of good places for free-hiking in your neck of the woods. A couple of years ago I worked for a company that had offices in Heywood and used to stay in Rochdale when I was in the area. I had some very memorable walks around the Blackstone Edge, White Holme and Warland reservoirs. Some care was required on the Pennine Way (obviously) but the "far" side of each reservoir appeared almost never to be visited by walkers. The reservoirs also provided some great early morning skinny dipping opportunities (chilly, but invigorating and fun).

I have also visited the Peel Tower for a naked early morning walk and hoped to investigate the walking opportunities around Withens Clough. It looks good on a map / Google earth, but the car park was closed for works when I visited so I never had the opportunity to explore the area on foot.

A little further away, the areas around Wayoh Reservoir also provided some good free-hiking.

Have fun exploring,

Ian.

Can't agree more!  Today for the first time, I was "brave" enough to go for a walk around a lovely wood completely naked.

I initially walked to our local beach, but it was very windy and not that warm (on the Norfolk coast). I crossed back into the extensive dunes where it is more sheltered, and ended up alongside a wood at the back of the dunes that I had passed by many times but never really looked at.

It is an open, grassy, young woodland and in today sun its dappled shade looked very inviting. It is (as far as it can be around here) quite isolated and as no-one was around, apart from a few cows, I stripped off and walked around for about half an hour. It was a great relaxing feeling, and I felt quite reluctant to get dressed when I got back to the dunes path.

Ted.
