Just returned from a fab hol in Skiathos,    Most mornings we would walk naked  from apartments  just back from bus stop 23    along woodland track to Elias beach,  which was at least 50% naturist,  although of all the folk I spoke to the vast majority of them were holiday naturists as were about 90% of the folk at our apartments (magda ) .                                                                                  one morning I walked naked from the apartments to Elias beach then onto Mandraki beach,  looked down onto Hidden beach  then track down to Elini then over the top to Banana , a three hour wonder in all  passed by only one car , met only 2 joggers one just nodded and passed by the other joined me for a while.                                                                                                                          Thinking of making this our June annual hol.    Met some really nice folk.

Thank you for the report, reminded us of 2 fabulous holidays on the island where we hired a scooter and explored several quiet beaches on the North coast of the island, nearly all of them available to Naturists.
Spent hours building shelters out of the driftwood washed upon the beaches and covering them with towels if it got too hot.
Repeat the experience while you are able. (Too old to travel now)

Skiathos is my second favorite Greek isle. Little Banana has to be one of the best naturist beaches I have visited even though it does get very crowded in the peak season.

A friend who holidayed in Skiathos in May said that Little Banana was not so good, and that regular naturists were avoiding it. As we are going in 4 weeks I would be interested to hear your thoughts. Which beach did you think best when you were there? We are staying at a hotel by bus stop 10

Hi Frenchy  Last week Banana was not too bad but lots of sun beds and fairly busy would say mostly genuine but too much heavy jewelry for my liking, we prefered Mandraki and Elias lots of naturists very genuine lots of space  some naturists used the sunbeds at the far end , most were on the sand will be beck next year or maybe this sept . From bus stop 23 . walk past car hire inland round the back of apartments follow track through woodland to beaches 15 min we would mostly be naked walking through the woods as you can see quite a way in front of you, most folk going to be naked on beach anyway.. enjoy

I have to be honest and say its a good few years since I was in Skiathos so Little Banana may have changed a lot since then.  I'd go with the more recent reports if I was you.

We really must go back to Skiathos .We went several years ago for a week, and although the weather wasn't brilliant ,we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves .Banana beach was lovely , but like Peter, been many years since we were there.

Dick

It is very hard to describe the inner enjoyment of being naked .

Elias is my favourite beach on Skiathos. If you fancy a long scramble over the rocks though, the beach immediately to the left is very difficult to get to and totally deserted, even in peak season. I've never been terribly impressed by Little Banana, except early in the day. In peak season it gets very crowded as the day goes on.

Thanks for the replies. I will report back on our opinion. We do require shade as neither of us like to be exposed to too much sun, not sure if these other beaches will suit.

We have just  come back from Skiathos. We went to Little Banana and it was every bit as good as I remembered.  There was no shortage of sunbeds and there were plenty of naturists - just the way we like it.
We also looked at Mandraki/Elias. There were no naturists on Mandraki, and about six on Elias. There are no sunbeds available to naturists, you have to wade through a forest of weed to get into deeper water and there is a litter problem. Really can't see the attraction, unless you are particularly drawn to the separation between sunbathers.
Little Banana has much clearer water and is, I think, the best beach for snorkeling. We like the fact that the beach is crowded with naturists; if you don't like a busy beach it is probably not for you. The taverna is handy, but the food is expensive for what you get. There was a good mix of people this year, including families and groups of teenagers. We think of it as a proper nude beach i. e. no meerkat problems and no having to hide away at one end.
