I have used a beach near Alvor. I don't know what is called, but if you travel east from Tres Irmous then you should be able to find it.

I would recommend Meia Praia (eastern end) and Praia do Canavial, both of which are situated close to the centre of Lagos. Also worth a visit are Praia da Bordeira located close to Carrapateira, the official beach on the Ilha de Tavira and my personal favourite, Praia da Figueira, which is only a 10 minute walk from the village of the same name.
I have found The Algarve to be a very naturist-friendly destination and as long as you stay clear of the "family beaches" and concessionary areas, then you should be able to strip off without any problems. As ever, common sense should prevail.
Enjoy your break.

Put Algarve in the search engine on Naturist corner and you will see my reviews on a few beaches I visited some years ago 🙂

Keep On Smiling:)

Several years ago we took our motor home from Portsmouth to Bilbao and drove through Spain and Portugal to the east Algarve where it joins the Spanish coast.

We then spent 16 weeks driving West to the tip of Portugal, up the West coast, North coast of Spain and west coast of France before departing from Cherbourg.

By visiting the less touristy beaches or walking a few hundred yards from beach busy entrances we were always able to find places to sunbathe without any problem, sometimes alone or with others who were either already stripped off or did so when when they saw us.

We found a totally different attitude than in the UK, even found it possible to park at a beach without the curse of car park attendants.

Frequently found it possible to park there overnight and joined by others.

Enjoy yourselves.
